So while I think we need to make it work with Dak. I'm not opposed to drafting a QB. Dak is on the final 2 years of his deal and I'm not ready to say the guy should retire here. Anyone give any thought to a guy like Max Duggan at QB? Seems like a guy who isn't going to cost a high pick but has some tools to work with and I think showed some of that clutch gene this past year.

Which loss hurts more, or will take longer to get over - last year's Wild Card loss or last night's?
They don't really hurt anymore, but I was totally meh about last year as I saw that coming a mile away.

It bothered me to lose last night's game because of how poorly Dak played, but I'm over it now in the sense that it's not affecting my mood or making me replay the game in my head.

Had this occurred in 2010? I'd be sick right now.

Dak gets two more years and then Jackson Arnold comes home.

No, this post isn't premature at all.

Yeah, my daughter asked if she could stay home and watch the game with me instead of going with her mom to grandmas. So obviously I spent that time with my daughter. After the game all she wanted to do was play and have fun. I've come to the point in life where I don't let this stuff eat me up for long because I've got other things in my life that are more important. Would have loved to celebrate a win with my daughter but I'll just enjoy football for what it is. A journey not likely to end anywhere but disappointment.

Yeah and we actually got some good interior pressure at times as well. Obviously Osa had the sack but there were other plays that had the 49ers QB scrambling because the pressure was all over him.

Also on that long Kittle catch, was that our fucking DT covering him down the field? How the hell does that even happen. Diggs should have played the ball but I remember a very fat dude running with him down the field.

Gallimore yes. Almost comical.

It's not just this game and it's not just the ints. It's been happening all season long and it's on throws that basically rookies make. He just isn't good enough and like I said yesterday of the playoffs only consisted of 1 game winner the all then he might sneak a win. It's not and there is no way Dak will be able to string 2 to 4 of those games in a row.
So it's this regular season? I mean he's had really good regular seasons in the past. And he wasn't awful this year. Just the INT's the last couple months. So what happened? Hasn't and won't fully recover from the ankle?

I mean we've seen him play good against good opposition before. Put up good numbers. Did he forget how to play QB? Or just don't think he'll ever do it in the playoffs when you need it 3 or 4 straight games. It can't all be in the QB to win 4 straight. Need some help along the way.

And that's another one of my points about Josh Allen. As good as he is. And as good as his WR's are and TE he has never had a RB or a running game. He needs help.

I mean when TP went out and Zeke was in there we had no chance. We were handicapped. And then they motion Zeke out and he lines up at WR? What a waste. And we can't go 5 wide because we don't even have 3 worthy WR's yet alone 4 or 5.

But you're talking about how hard it is to win a super bowl. We haven't even won a division round. You can't compare him to guys like elway and Marino struggling to win super bowls because Dak isn't even to the "winning a division round" point yet. It's silly to compare Dak struggling to win in the division round to how hard it is for all timers to win a Superbowl.
Oh, so if he won yesterday and lost next week it would've been all good? And Dak is fine? Bullshit. The vultures on here are just circling waiting to pounce.

This is true. Short of Dak playing stellar in every game the fans were going to eventually come out to attack his performance. It's too bad because I think he knows how to shred the Eagles. All we had to do was win this game. But we didn't and back to the drawing board yet again. And yet another whole offseason of Dak debate.

That was a good view of Diggs' blatant pussying-out of a tackle. In high school, if one of my coaches had seen that, the player would have been yanked immediately and benched.
Yeah, if Diggs just makes contact he probably pops that ball loose.

Agreed. And it sucks. Have to wait a whole year for that next opportunity.

That's the thing. I actually enjoy gearing up and watching the playoff games. It sucks we lost, but the people that come on here after his first pick and want to discuss the future of the QB position (when Dak is going to be here 2 more years minimum) in the middle of a damn winnable playoff game? I just don't get it. To each his own I guess.
