Which loss hurts more, or will take longer to get over - last year's Wild Card loss or last night's?
Last night's, easily.

He stunk yesterday. No doubt. I look at it like this. You have to play well against the real good defenses like SF. And those are his worst 2 playoff games. He played pretty well the other 4.

If you expect him or many QB's for that matter to go into SF in the playoffs with that wind blowing around and put up 350 yards and 4 TD's that's rarely going to happen. You're just looking for him to manage the game, not turn it over, etc. And he didn't do it.

I'm not going to overreact to 2 subpar games against the 49ers in the playoffs when he's played well in the playoffs in other games. Of course he needs to get over this hump here soon. I'm not giving up on him...yet.
Yep, I saw a graphic the other day that Dak performs miserably about top 3 points scored against defenses. The 49ers have arguably the best defense in the NFL. I'm not sure why but Dak just plays scared against these defenses. Had we attacked them like we did with the Lamb pass I think we could have had a different outcome. Their corners are weak and our pass protection was actually pretty good. We let yet another great opportunity slip through our hands.

Last night. Last year's game wasn't as close as it appeared.

With Payton looking likely to go to Denver it seems very probable that Quinn is back next year.

Barring major injuries we should be a top 3ish team in the NFC again, so we're going to get all the answers we need on Dak in the next year or two.
That could bring them to an even 30 years with no Conference championship appearances. Go for it.

That's it in a nutshell. He has probably 2 years left to prove it. It's tough because you'd like to use your high picks to help the team get over the hump now.

Which brings me to our 3rd round pick this year. Hate to have your 3rd rounder give you absolutely nothing in year 1 in a position of need. Not good. What are the chances Tolbert takes a leap next season?
Good news is that Tolbert can only do better.

Basically, though I doubt he goes 3rd.

I'm tired of seeing JAGs like Gallimore routinely abused when we need a stop.

We are going to wear a generational talent like Micah Parsons out without major help up front

We must think of it in those terms. Any cost is worth it
This current team as built needs to jettison the JAGs and dip into FA and sign actual difference makers.
You might pull off a win with a guy like Prescott if he plays like he did last night but you’ll need either a ST play or a defensive play for points and another guy outside of 11 to pressure the passer.

He was not actually. Lawrence was very good also.
Yeah and we actually got some good interior pressure at times as well. Obviously Osa had the sack but there were other plays that had the 49ers QB scrambling because the pressure was all over him.

Also on that long Kittle catch, was that our fucking DT covering him down the field? How the hell does that even happen. Diggs should have played the ball but I remember a very fat dude running with him down the field.

Osa played well, particularly early in the game.

And that fat DT covering Kittle was Gallimore...that most active I've seen him all season, but still not enough to warrant bringing him back next year.

Absolutely. If Pollard doesn’t get hurt, we beat the Niners I have zero doubt we go to Philly and beat them.

It's not just this game and it's not just the ints. It's been happening all season long and it's on throws that basically rookies make. He just isn't good enough and like I said yesterday of the playoffs only consisted of 1 game winner the all then he might sneak a win. It's not and there is no way Dak will be able to string 2 to 4 of those games in a row.

I would even say if Kittle doesn't make that circus catch we win.
