That might be what is coming.

Maybe I am wrong, but I think the Cowboys value him way more than other teams and if he was smart, he would know that.
I think he will. Zeke has made good money, I think he values his relationships with Dak and others. Take a paycut, a reduced role in the offense and stick around for a few more years. Zeke is still productive and valuable, just not at the current dollar amount.

He'd be way more valued here getting 12 carries a game and putting up 750 yards a year than anywhere else, by the team, fans and organization.

If he goes somewhere else he'll probably bounce around for 2-3 years and end up making the same money he could make here, except he'd get way more adulation not to mention more of a statistical legacy.

Smart thing to do would he to take a pay cut and stay here. But pride gets in the way for players sometimes. Someone else may be willing to show him more money but being cut a year later might not actually be worth it. But wouldn't shock me if pride made Zeke think the team showing him the money wants him more. But go play somewhere, suck and get cut is a way bigger gut punch in the long run.

I don't recall that many either. But ultimately we have to stay sharp in the midst of all these games against weak opponents. It's really easy to become complacent when you are blowing teams out.

I can't imagine anybody giving him more than like $5M/year considering his age and the wear and tear on his body. If he doesn't take a paycut just cut him and tell him we'll match his best offer, which will inevitably be something like 2 years/$10M.
