Which is the normal expectation, but I don't think they'd go this far with it if they weren't willing to make a serious offer and they have to know what the ballpark figure is if they've been in contact for a month now.

I wonder how flexible OBJ is having to be .

We are probably offering the least in this stupid bidding war and I am okay with that. I hope he prices Stephen Jones right out of the water.

Between this and the OBJ obsession... I'm getting a bad feeling about this.
A bad feeling is very justified. We've all seen this shit unfold over 26 years. Jerry is playing GM, HC and ring master all over again. He's paying Tyron S. a ton of money, plus Jerry made a prediction early on. He loves being at the center of the headlines with the OBJ circus. (Jerry's comment about OBJ playing with the "star on his helmet" is enough to make anyone puke. Note to Jerry: "the star" hasn't done jack shit for a quarter century.)

The chemistry is there, Tyler S. is playing well. So vintage Jerry, take all that and drive a truck through it for the sake of his insufferable, train wreck ego. And a train wreck it will be. With Jerry you can count on it.

I'm afraid you're probably going to be right.

I really wonder if Jerry is worried he won't get any of the credit it the team does well over the rest of the season. He has to be seen pulling strings now, placing himself at the center of the OBJ nonsense, dictating Tyron Smith's return to the lineup. He couldn't stand it when Jimmy Jimmy Johnson got all the credit, and he can't stand it now if he's too far out of the spotlight, an afterthought when things are going well.

The draft picks aren't his, a DC is doing a great job, an OC and a HC are getting a lot of credit. The perfect storm for a Jerry Jones train wreck in the making.
