I hope these guys aren’t getting too big headed with all this greatness at D talk. Seems like every time the media and talking heads gush over them, they shit the bed. The Rams and Eagles games will tell everyone if they are for real or not.

Yep. I wouldn't be too mad if they lost Sunday because it might set them up better to beat the Eagles.

I am becoming of the mind that if we lose to the Rams, it becomes a turning point. A two game losing skid with Prescott returning to save the season is not something that sounds like it is going to have a happy ending.

I don't think 3-3 with a backup QB and the schedule we've had would hurt anything as long as they start a streak after that. If Dak plays really well it would even get everyone back on his side.

But it all depends on how Dak plays. In the end, that's going to be about all that matters anyway.

I feel better about beating the Eagles than I do the Rams. I just think Hurts is going to be exposed and I expect our defense to be able to do that.

You're looking for stuff to be negative about.

4 of the top 5-6 toughest games of the season came in the first six, the fact that we're going to be no worse than 3-3 with Rush starting 5 games is a God damn miracle.

The back 11 are very weak compared to the first 6 so I expect no worse than 10-7. That'd be 7-4 after the Eagles game which I think is very reasonable.

Dak is the wildcard on this. The one thing Rush managed to do was keep some drives going, complete some deep throws, play within the system. Even if we didn’t score, he allowed the D some rest at critical points of the games he’s been in.
Do we get wild Dak, the guy changing the run plays at the line and throwing passes in the ground and 3 yard outs or do we get good Dak-run the play, complete passes DOWN the field to keep the running game valid and move the chains? That’s the question and ultimately where the season goes.

It is pretty clear the design is simplistic with Rush. He has half field reads and it helps him play within his limitations. Prescott could learn a few things about being deliberate with his feet getting set and processing quickly.
