I like the Harper pick. Their defense was very good this year mostly bc of their LBs. Rodriguez was really good and got all the attention but Harper was good too.

I'm just glad they knew they needed LBs and front seven players. Only, what, two small players out of the lot of them. Didn't fit the "Jerry just wants to sell jerseys" theme.

If this is it, and we don't trade back in, at first glance I give this draft a pretty solid B+/A-. Even with our fucked up target positions philosophy going it. Simply amazing how lucky we got with good players being available at the positions we all knew we were locked in taking.

Then, at the back half of the draft taking traits guys with upside? With no trying to get cute? I didn't see that coming. A very nice breath of fresh air.

Good call. Another WR I hope we call is Samuel Akem. Go check him out. There is a lot to like as a developmental type WR.

This doesn't fit the narrative but I definitely think McCarthy has had an influence. Those GB defenses always seemed big and stout up front and we're moving in that direction on that side of the ball.
