Agreed. Wideouts are like RBs: you can find them anywhere ... if you know what you're doing. Green Bay has for years.
I don't really agree with that. The NFL doesn't either which is why WRs are making bank. Now guards, that is a position you should be able to find later. It's why guards make far less salary. Even the Packers who you pointed out needed Adam's in the second round.

Now that isn't to say you can't find a WR outside of the first. Of course you can. Hell NFL teams are running 3 WRs, if you had to have 3 firsts to run 3 WRs you'd be screwed. But let's not pretend that a lot of the best WRs weren't picked in the first 2 rounds. A lot of them are. We saw what this offense and Dak looked like with free agents and mid round picks at WR. We ended up trading for Cooper.

The highest paid guards make like 15 mil. The highest paid WRs are starting to push 25-30 mil for a reason. We should be able to draft a guard outside of the first who can be a really good starter. But I don't know if we can.

Now that doesn't mean we have to take a WR at 24. But my list of WRs that I'm comfortable with probably only goes 2-3 rounds. Beyond that it gets pretty dicey. If you say, Pickens will be available for us in round 2, great I'm good with that. But there is a good chance he won't be.

Ultimately I like a guard in the first or a WR. But we need to run the ball better. Teams were running cover 2 shells and rushing four against us with success. It limited our WRs on the outsides ability to get open and we couldn't take advantage because our running game wasn't good. So we had to rely on the slot and TE for our yards. We won't fix RB so we have to fix the Oline. I just disagree that the only way to do it is with a first round guard.

I have a boner for Chris Olave and Nakobe Dean. Cox might be something, but if Parson is going to slide into DE in some passing downs, Dean would get plenty of time.

Welcome back, man. You just missed the Zone incursion. You would have been invaluable during that. :lol

Hostile sent me a DM apology because he disagreed with something I tweeted. We’re gonna be fine.

I want a WR. Deep WR draft, but I want one in the first. I don’t want to hope someone slips. I do think NO moving up means they are going to move up again for a QB. Teams might get nervous and draft a QB earlier than they wanted if teams like NO start moving up for QBs.
I had just as soon not go WR in the 1st unless Olave slips. I do not want Burks. If Olave isn't there, go BPA.

I'd be ok with Olave in the first. But I'd rather have Kenyon Green or Zion Johnson at G. Or Jordan Davis. (yeah, yeah, I know) Maybe even one of the DEs that slip. Jermain Johnson, George Karlaftis, etc... But I think I'd mostly want one of the guards. I think the drop off there is bigger than at DE.

I love both Nakobe Dean and Devin Lloyd, but again... I think there will be some really good LBs available later.

Karlaftis is a guy we won’t look at because he doesn’t have “bend” to him. I’m good with Jameson Williams too.

I like Williams and would be good with him, too. But I'd bet he goes well before our pick.

I would be shocked if he even got close to our pick. But stranger things have happened, I guess. For the record, I don't think Olave makes it to us, either.

Considering how much Jerry loves to make a splash and grab headlines, I wouldn't put it past him to trade up to get a WR.

That would be... Upsetting.

If it cost us a 5th or two for Olave I’d be fine but we would end up giving up our second like a bunch of morons.

I like Olave and WIlliams a lot. I'd be on board with either at 24. Burks I'm not so sure about. I like him for some teams but I'm not convinced we will know how to use him correctly.

I'm against trading up. And in reality how far does a fifth get you in a move up? Probably not more than a pick or two. Reality is if you're moving up it's probably costing you a third and that I'm really opposed to. That's a Sam Williams or Jelani Woods. I'm not giving up that quality of player to ensure I get anyone in the first.

One question…Are you here to talk football? Or just need to talk with anyone? Forget it…I don’t really care.
