Sucks to lose that, but that's about the closest you'll ever get me to label something an acceptable loss.
On the road against the defending champs and we went toe to toe with them.
We forced turnovers.
Dak finally got the team in position to win a game with his final possession (that's huge for me).
And so much for Amari Cooper isn't the same on the road huh?
Overall, it's encouraging.
The defense is still weak in the areas that we expected it to be, but we can't do anything about that this year. But getting turnovers is very encouraging and Dak was fantastic.
They'll win 10 or 11 games playing like this and get to the 2nd round. Then hopefully they add some secondary and interior D-line help next spring.
I'm still annoyed at the loss due to Zuerlein's misses and a blatantly obvious OPI that the ref decided he would just let go, but this was a very good and encouraging start to the season.
On to week 2.
