I wonder if a game’s different variables go into this ‘analytics’. If the wind was whipping at 35mph, would it give the same percentages for a FG try? Common sense says of course not.
That's why I don't believe in these kinds of analytics for football. It's not like baseball where you have hundreds of trials in basically a one on one situation (for pitcher vs hitter). There are far too many more variables in football for me to trust these.

And that's not even to mention that teams adjust to trends. For instance, it used to be so rare for teams to go for it on 4th and short that teams didn't prepare for it as much, and when the offense did convert it was a huge downer for the defense. Now everyone knows you're going for it pretty often so defenses are more prepared.

Good. Because you sound like a flaming homer right now. McCarthy clearly has fucked up several times. He needs a guy upstairs helping him manage the clock, tell him when to challenge and proper use of timeouts. But I am sure that since he has won a Super Bowl, he is Teflon?

He's not Teflon, but it seems a bit over the top kill a coach with a proven track record who is currently 5-1. I don't think it's unreasonable to say the criticism has been over the top.

I don't agree with everything he's done and I've said as much. But I don't see anything that is panic inducing.

By the way, he's done more than just win a super bowl.

He's won 6 division titles, made the playoffs 9 times, won 10 playoff games, and made it to 4 conference championship games. He has a .606 career coaching record in the regular season and is the second winningest head coach in Green Bay history, only trailing the man they named their stadium after. He's 26th all time in coaching wins, and 36th in win percentage. He's 15th in playoff wins all time.

He's one of only 4 coaches to lead the same franchise to 8 straight playoff appearances. The others are Tom Landry, Chuck Noll, and Bill Belichick.

I don't need to recount our own franchise's track record during the same time period. He's a big upgrade over anything we've had since Parcells, and prior to that since Jimmy.

Maybe it ultimately won't work here, but we should be happy and encouraged that we've finally brought in a head coach of this quality.

But instead some of us have battered wives syndrome and flinch every time he makes a decision.

The more I have watched this game over, it is an intriguing dance the officiating crew constructed.

Just the pace and tempo of each bullshit call is pretty well balanced with the impression they were not completely bought and sold.

After the last week or so of your own flaming homerism, you have lost the right to bandy this particular barb about.

Once you have regained your general curmudgeon ways and firmly embrace the title of DFDC, you may resume.

Good day.
I guess I have no response to this.

But this is probably all I got anymore. I have to have something to bitch about.

Man I am rewatching right now and paying attention to the Dline. I saw a play where Bohanna absolutely buckled the center. It was the one where Kearse hit the QB and caused the incomplete.

Just nice to rewatch a game and pay attention to things I didn't the first time.

He was one of the most successful coaches in NFL history in GB, won a Superbowl, and coached there for like a dozen years.

He's no different than he was in GB? YES, PLEASE.

Please give us some of that.
Agreed. We should count our blessings. To be 5-1 and the worst thing we can say about this coaching staff is McCarthy has made a few errors along the way?

If that POS kicker does his job, we’re 6-0 right now.

McCarthy must be the best worst coach ever. I’ll take it over what we’ve had since That canary yellow haired fat fuck Parcells.

I was expecting at the very least a GFY.

The homer bug has bitten you deep. I’m almost looking forward to our next loss. (Almost) The new you is kinda scaring me.

Yeah, I wanted to see how Mills reacted with CeeDee waving in his face. Looks like they had to be separated, but nothing came of it
Lamb said whatcha gonna do?

Seriously, is this green-haired dipshit going to go full bozo with a camera, right there?

That was the perfect matchup by the way. I was actually surprised the Patriots signed him, honestly.
