I honestly think this is the best team we've had since 95'. I know we're only six games in, but this team looks more like a contender on both sides of the ball than any I can remember since the 90's. Yes, Romo made a few good runs in 08' and 14' in particular. 2016 was encouraging as well.
But IMO the team as a whole and the coaching staff is dialed in on big things.

I would put '08 up there talent-wise but this coaching staff is far better from top to bottom.

The balls on Dan Quinn...have we ever called that many all-out blitzes or 1-deep blitzes in a single game? Down the stretch, we were damn near playing the 46
Quinn has been an epic addition to this staff. Last year we were historically inept, this year we're closing in on dominant.

The clutch of Dak is what has me feeling really good. He did it in Tampa, he did it in Los Angelas and he did it in New England. Trailing with the game on the line in each of those games he drove us into scoring position to take the lead or go into overtime. That's some serious clutch on the road.

The only loss he just left Brady slightly too much time.

A play that probably won't get a lot of mention this week, but was certainly instrumental in us winning, was the catch Cedrick Wilson made on 4th and 4. Dak had to put it up high to get over the defender, and Wilson had to go up and highpoint it to make the catch, while ensuring he came down inbounds. When Dak let that pass go, it's like everything went slow motion for me. It seemed to take forever to complete the play. I thought for sure that pass was going off his finger tips. Then when he secured the catch, my mind switched to just knowing he'd come down out of bounds, or would drop the ball when he hit the ground.

Such a clutch play on both ends. I don't care what anybody says. From top to bottom, we have the best, deepest WR corps in the NFL. Hell, even Noah Brown has been making plays in his limited time.

Agreed 💯
Dak isn't even "Dak" anymore. Somehow over the off-season he developed into a truly elite QB in every aspect.

I wouldn't put us even close to dominant, yet.

But we are competent. We are opportunistic. We are young. And we are improving. We will only get better as we get more time in and players back from injury. Certainly is a 180 from this time last year, no doubt.

Anyone know where to get Bill B’s post game press conference?

And does his son do one? That would be awesome.

My only question about the 08' team is were they as talented and effective defensively as this year's unit?
I think so. You had a hall of famer in Ware rushing the passer, and Ellis had a great season as well. I believe also double-digit sacks.

Off the top of my head, Newman, Henry and Hamlin all had several picks that year.

Also, nice hustle by Parsons after the Diggs INT. He got thru traffic and quickly downfield to make the last block that got Diggs into the endzone.

Of course, it was against Mac Jones. And when he saw Parsons lining him up full speed, he shit himself and spun mostly out of the way. :lol
Parsons' blocks for Diggs were huge. Other than that, though, Parsons had a very quiet game. They need to figure out how to help him have a bigger impact more consistently. He's too physically talented ....

I wonder if @alonso still thinks Dak shouldn't have been paid.

This was a tough game to watch the incredibly terrible penalties, ignoring the play clock when NE let it run to zero, calling Schultz down when he landed on their player and never touched, the blatant favorable balance of penalties for NE, no call on the push off on TE Henry’s TD, ignoring the late hit on CeeDee on the GW TD. Just Godawful officiating all around. Having said that the OT performance by the team as a whole was good. The CeeDee wave was priceless.
At the end the frustration was worth it. We walked away with a win in a game that we basically never win. Going to enjoy it and have some confidence in this team. Both backup tackles playing and didn’t look horrendous. Also I am pretty sure NE teaches their DEs to run the corners with their arms up to make it look like they are being held. Saw it on a play where it was obvious he wasn’t being held.
