Kind of shit but as long as every NFC team goes on the road for the extra game it's fair. And then next year every AFC team should go on the road.
Now that you mention it, yeah, the entire NFC is on the road. Checked the NFC West vs AFC West and NFC North vs AFC North. I'm gonna assume South vs South is same.

Hate losing a game after a bye but also hate a bye after a win. I want to keep rolling.
In terms of health of the team it comes at the perfect time.

Especially after a close win on the road. The game after is usually a let down game. The bye gives us the chance to reset and refocus so we don't have a let down game.

What the head coach should be focused on at that moment is how much time is left and what is the immediate next move (e.g. when will the timeout be called) after the play. It is his decision and his alone. Even if he isn't personally accountable for tracking every single down in the game, it's his responsibility to make sure a process is in place to get the correct information relayed to him.
Like I said, with the confusion of the dual penalty being a dead ball or live ball penalty, the downs got fucked up. He probably did have a plan in mind when they lined up for the play CD caught for 24 yards. At the time, it was telling us it was 2nd and 25, when in reality it was 3rd and 25. So when CD was tackled, timeout was called, with everyone thinking it was now 3rd down. With the thinking that we would have ample time left to get the first down and get into closer FG range. Hence, quickly calling the time out once the play was over. They fixed the down mistake during our timeout. They even showed FM arguing with a ref during the timeout. I'd bet it was over giving us our timeout back and restarting the clock since the down information given was wrong, which influenced the decision to call it in the first place.

Otherwise it wouldn't be fair if the Bucs got 9 home games and we got 8 while competing for seeding.

Normally I would agree with you but after having a lot of sloppiness in the last 2 games coupled with all of the injuries we have, I think it's coming at the perfect time.

I dont think its going to cure the sloppiness. They are who they are and McCarthy will still fumble his way through clock and 4th down aggressiveness issues. The injury issues I get but I was really talking as a fans view. I want to keep watching them without waiting.

It was only confusing if you were watching on TV because CBS had it wrong.

On the field, they had the correct down on the yard marker, directly across from the Cowboys sideline where Mike should be able to easily see it.

Situational awareness is one of the most important duties of a head coach.

Dak Prescott (calf) will undergo MRI, but not overly concerned
Published: Oct 17, 2021 at 09:19 PM

Dak Prescott had a grin on his face after Sunday's game, but a boot on his right leg.
Nonetheless, Prescott assured the media everything will be fine and did so with that aforementioned grin despite sustaining what has been described as a right calf strain. Prescott said he will have an MRI on Monday, but is not overly concerned.
"That's the evaluation. That'll be fine. Have fun with this," Prescott told reporters as he walked away from the dais on Sunday following the Cowboys' exciting 35-29 overtime win against the Patriots.
While Prescott did not seem overly concerned, anytime the Lone Star State's biggest star is hampered by any sort of ailment it's worrisome.
Prescott never missed a start before sustaining an ugly ankle break in Week 5 of last season that put a sudden halt to his 2020 campaign. This offseason, Prescott's road to recovery hit a speed bump with a shoulder injury.
So now, with the Cowboys rolling to a 5-1 start, there's concern in Big D despite Dak's smile. Nonetheless, Prescott's attitude and the fact that the Cowboys are entering a bye week are reasons for optimism before the MRI results tell the true tale.

Also, nice hustle by Parsons after the Diggs INT. He got thru traffic and quickly downfield to make the last block that got Diggs into the endzone.

Of course, it was against Mac Jones. And when he saw Parsons lining him up full speed, he shit himself and spun mostly out of the way. :lol

The balls on Dan Quinn...have we ever called that many all-out blitzes or 1-deep blitzes in a single game? Down the stretch, we were damn near playing the 46
