No shit. I had no doubts about the result of this game from about the end of the 2nd quarter.
Honestly, I wasn't worried at all. Yeah, we started out sloppy. But we were gaining yards on offense, and playing decently on defense. We were only hurting ourselves. They sure weren't hurting us. We just needed to clean things up.
I had little doubt our players and coaches would straighten things out in plenty of time to take control of the game. Granted, we had time considering our competition. We can't afford to do this against a good team. But along those lines, I don't think we'll come out as flat and disinterested against them as we did today against a shitty team. I think this might be a cheap lesson learned. That we can't afford to do this. And with this coaching and these players we have on this team now (read: most if not all of our entitled idiot "leaders" are now gone) they'll fix this.
