Not sure how the team can feel good shitting the bed for three quarters like that.

I mean, I guess the good news is the schedule now gets easier.

But they better get prepped for when it gets harder down the stretch cause otherwise they won’t even win this lousy division.

I've been a pretty pessimistic fan for quite some time now, so this ought to tell you something....

I cannot recall the last time the cowboys won a game and yet I was more annoyed, frustrated, and discouraged after that win.

There were so many dumb and inexplicable things that happened today that I can't feel good about this even as someone who believes you don't apologize for winning.

And the reason why I am so upset about it is, they operated for most of this game as if they were trying not to lose as opposed to trying to win and I cannot for the life of me understand why that is.

We used to rip Jason Garrett a new one for every time that moron settled for long field goals and yet I don't recall even him making up his mind with 30 seconds to go that he was OK with kicking a 56 Yardley.

The feeling of victory can often leave a team blind to their flaws and my concern is that these guys aren't going to realize all of the blunders they made today that would lose them games 99% of the time, with the lack of urgency on that last drive being at the top of the list.

That's the most discouraging win I think I've ever experienced.
You felt like this team should have won this game by double digits with the turnovers the defense generated. The D can’t stop anyone but when it bags those turnovers to hold the other team to only 17 you kinda have to put up 28-31.

Yeah we just need to get healthy and get guys back. Collins, Gregory, Lawrence, Gallimore, Wilson and Gallup. Literally all starters out 2 games in.

Plus fucking Brown will eventually get benched. That will be a happy day. Not to mention the guys are still learning the defense.

Accurate.

All those weapons on offense and they go into a shell rather attack a pretty generic defense.

It is only week two. It doesn't matter so much how great they look at this point. They just need to build a decent record so that they're set up okay during crunch time later in the season.

If Zuerlein missed that kick, it would’ve all been on McCarthy for letting 5 seconds tick off the clock for no reason whatsoever. That’s Jason Garrett level stupid.
Dak also though. Forty million dollar / year QBs should be able to manage that better even with no coach help.

I really think they were supposed to run another play and Dak got brain lock.

Or, there is a penalty, bad snap, INT, fumble, or whatever. Guess we’ll never know.
Exactly. We had no way to know what the result of the play would have been, but we should have called a TO and tried it.

The play calling, especially in the passing game, got way too conservative after the 1st quarter.

Jim Fassel continues to scare me and there is no excuse for allowing all that time to be wasted and settle for a very difficult FG.

The coaching that we saw out there today will typically lose you games.

They'll win this shitty division either way as long as the injury situation doesn't continue to get worse.

It was a weird game, the offense always felt like they could move the ball at will but it was just a little play here and there getting in their way, combined with the fact that the Chargers were also sustaining long drives.

Ultimately we played a possible playoff team with one of the best young QB's in the league without our only viable pass rushers on the road and won, so yea I feel good about it.

And as an aside, that's why you keep Zuerlein.
