It is so aggravating how the Cowboys, regardless of the coaching staff or the player changes, just cannot avoid doing dumb things things to hurt themselves in every aspect of the game.

The running game is clicking there.

Why would you call that sort of passing play on 2nd and 4?

My God we just can't play good old fashioned football.
It’s almost like the team is dumb and it’s not Super Bowl winner Mike McCarthy’s fault.

What about it? The guy has a history and it’s fair to say a propensity to disappear on the road.

That doesn’t mean he never shows up. It just means it’s a trend that he doesn’t.
I believe that was just one season. It was shown to not really be the case if I am remembering correct.

Dak killed that last drive by himself.

Never should have thrown that pass to CeeDee and you can't take sacks that knock you out of FG range.

Second game in a row he's done that.
Yeah, you have to at least just throw it somewhere to get rid of it. Even at a guys feet.

Actually outside of the Garrett years the numbers don't bear that out.

So obvious that teams aren't allowed to tackle in practice anymore

Yup, I posted “drive ender,” as soon as Lamb was tackled. Horrific choice, you have to see that turns from second and five to third and long. Just a dumb play. Then the sack.

Oh well. We are a pretender as an elite team again. Defense can’t stop anyone who doesn’t stop themselves. Offense can’t go long enough without making dumb mistakes.

I love how people say, "Man, the QB can't take a sack there.", when it's pretty fucking obvious he didn't have much choice, or the better choice was to take the sack versus doing something more stupid like getting a grounding penalty or worse throwing an INT. It's easy to sit in our lawnchairs and say he should have gotten rid of the ball, but it's completely different when you're contained in the pocket and have no out. It would be stupid to force it or throw into a grounding penalty.
