Meanwhile Leslie Frazier, with a profile very similar to Quinn, has been churning out strong defenses as Buffalo's DC for about 4 years and has barely gotten a sniff for a HC position.

They should have had the conversation. If they had any doubts they should have benched him. If the cutoff was playoffs or bust then barely missing the playoffs and still deciding to cut him seems uncertain.

Well and it's sad because playoffs seems to be this magical cutoff where teams still think of everyone having a chance if you can just get in. But if the Colts had won their last game does that really make some magical difference? Probably not. They would have still been a good defense, great RB, and terrible QB.
