I think he's saying sad as in it's sad that there doesn't seem to be a sense of urgency to upgrade the DL.

That is one area that if we don't address, it will unravel any plan Quinn has for the secondary.

We need an edge in addition to the interior presence.

Wow. The argument I would make is, are our CBs really that bad? We have what appears to be a star in Diggs and serviceable in Lewis/Brown/Canady. That's a .5 but our TEs are 2.1?

Yes, they're that bad. Diggs might be pretty good, I wouldn't even mention star yet. And the other guys are terrible. I think Brown is an okay third guy -- maybe -- but that's about it.

They've probably been so bad for so long (except Jones) that you forget what good CB play looks like.
