Barmore, Moehrig, Holland and Asante Samuel. Give me one of those guys in the second round and I'm excited. So I'm not ready to trade up for shit yet.

we'll never actually know. according to both jerry and fat mike, we had parsons higher on the board and were eyeballing him from the start. were planning to just take him at ten, but with the way the board fell, a small trade down presented itself.

I don't either. But maybe someone reaches for that turd Washington DT instead. It would take a lot of luck. Or we could just trade up. Booze would hate it but DT is a massive need and I think Barmore is a late first round talent.

Eh so what. An Olineman only counts for 1/4 of your protection. Or sometimes only 1/5th. So why take a LT.

Well because you need a complete unit.

Not so much though because most QB's are right handed and have blind spots on their left side.

For that reason LT is the most critical spot beside QB and #1 WR

For CB it's not the same. There are two outside WRs and a slot WR who's a mismatch for your LB unless you go nickel. That means you must have two CB's who can play, and preferably a third who can cover the slot and maybe a fourth who can cover TE's

All of that is literally secondary to having a front seven that can stifle the run and pressure the QB.

So you agree it sounds like we are going to get a very good player. No need at this point to burn the three 3rds in trading around.

I think this draft is deep and we should just use our picks.

Still giddy that we got an extra one, and still landed the clear best defensive player in college football.

I preferred Surtain because I think he's safe and high ceiling at the same time, but Parsons has the highest ceiling of any defensive player in the draft.

If the CB's had not both been drafted, Dallas would have drafted one.

This is just like the QB situation in 2016. We ended up with the best prospect in the nation in spite of our own stupid selves.

This time it was the nations best and most talented defensive prospect.
