Or Pitts. If he makes it past Philly that is.Maybe one of the top receivers. We don't need them but holy hell there are some elite receivers they could pair with a young QB.
Yeah Pitts is basically a big WR with his skillset.Or Pitts. If he makes it past Philly that is.
With Ertz and Goedert, why would they?Or Pitts. If he makes it past Philly that is.
They have been looking to trade Ertz. With Ertz and Goedert, why would they?
They will probably try to flip him for a pick if they don't cut him to save cap room. Probably ends up a Colt. They have been looking to trade Ertz.
Though he’s a much better blocker as he proved in his senior year. His value over replacement in Jarwin/Schultz would be huge as well. What sucks is this makes an already strong offense insanely strong but doesn’t directly help the defense.Yeah Pitts is basically a big WR with his skillset.
mayhaps this time things will be different
At first glance, this is just outstanding to see. But we are going to get our hearts broken again.
I would take Moehrig at 10 and walk away smiling. How about Trevon Moehrig at 10? Why the fuck not?
He's 6-2, 200 with legit centerfielder ability, has range, has the ball skills to track over his shoulder, has the ball production (7 INT's, 20 PD's), is plenty physical as a tackler for a safety and was 1st team All Big-12 the last two years. He's also just a true junior.
I mean obviously the move would be to trade down to about 15-20 and get him, or to move up from the 2nd into the 20-25 range, but I'd give him serious consideration at 10.
Given the uncertainty at 10 (Parsons, Rousseau and Farley all sat out, Surtain's long-speed is a question, etc.) why not consider the guy who has the ideal H/W/S, traits and production to play one of the most important positions in Cover-3? And fill a spot we've been trying to fill for about 20 years now?
This is assuming he runs like a 4.45 at their Pro Day today, if he runs a 4.6 or something just disregard.

Yeah he is a perfect trade down candidate. I don't think he lasts until 20-25 unless he runs a poor forty or something like that. So in an ideal scenario I try to move into the 15-20 range and snag him. I really don't see much difference between him and a lot of the guys who will be left at pick 10. I think sometimes being a safety sort of knocks a guy down the draft a little. It's a position that I think a lot of NFL teams overlook. Just not as much as us.How about Trevon Moehrig at 10? They would get shit on. But oh well, if you get a 10 year fixture in the secondary who really cares. Lots of teams get praise for there drafts and then most of the picks end up as failures. So as long as he turns into an excellent starter the rest doesn't matter.People would shit all over Dallas for taking Moehrig at ten for reaching. And maybe it is. But I’d still strongly consider it if we are unable to trade down. Ideally, trade down a bit to pick up another pick or two and grab him then. He could solidify our defensive back field for ten years. I just think he’s that much better than the other safeties in this years class.
And with the uncertainty of players sitting out this last year, I’d consider it even more.
