To me it means they have two off-ball LBs with high salaries (at least LVE would next year if they exercise the option), and that they can't sink top resources into the position. It's stupid, of course, because Jaylon should be gone next year and LVE could be as well but it aligns with the organization's idiotic short-sightedness and pollyanna view of their roster.

Anyone else get a sense that this draft carries more weight than usual if we're going to be SB contenders?

Probably feels like it because of Dak's new contract and the next four years being his prime.

Like 1991, we already have many of the key positions solidified, but need a bunch of the Leon Lett's, Larry Brown's and Dixon Edwards in addition to our top pick Russell Maryland (#10 in this case).

This should be our highest draft slot for the next four years.

I'd want the Pats' 2022 first rounder if we did that

Would you accept?
Washington 19, 51, and 124
Baltimore 27, 31, and 94
Minnesota 14, and 78
Chicago 20, 52, and 83

NE and others would have to throw next year's first in for it to make sense

I think I prefer Baltimore. end of the first and end of the 3rd are good places in this draft. end of the first starts the run on safeties and DTs, LBs after Parsons, and Second-tier CBs.

The end of the 3rd, in mocks at least, Is looking like a good place for DTs and OL.

I'd want Baltimore's 1st next year also, which I'm guessing they'd never do. That's just too far to drop to me. They'd have to make it extremely worth my while.

Now Minnesota? Drop 5 spots, possibly still get one of the players you might consider at 10, and add a mid 3rd? Yes, please.

I don't think we are going to be into adding a ton of picks. Not in this draft.
I'm certain of that. Which is dumb considering they want to pretty much exclusively build through draft.

Why wouldn't you want to constantly add as many draft picks as you possibly can in that case?

You'd have to be a dumb ass not to.
