Who was the last WR you saw who weighed 240 pounds? Who ran a 4.46? Never been a thing.Lol what?
And we can resign Gallup if we want. It's better than getting zero return for the guy because we want to draft another WR(Called a TE) in the first.
I've said it before, if we can't help ourselves with Pitts then we need to shop Gallup right after the pick.
Pitts can outmuscle DBs and can out-quick and out leap LBs. His blocking has improved every year, was quite good in 2020, and should improve in the NFL.
There's really no weakness in his game at the moment, unless you call out not being a dominant blocker as a weakness. Yet to be seen how he projects to the pros of course.
As for Gallup, you want him on the roster for his entire rookie deal, Pitts or no Pitts. No way I trade him for a draft pick when you can have him on the field. That season of production at a low cost is huge. Short of getting a 1st round pick, you never lose that.
In 2022, you simply aren't going to pay big money to Gallup when you have better performers in Cooper and Lamb bracketing him. Only if you want to dump Cooper's contract does this work. And you get no compensatory pick cutting Cooper like you would for not signing Gallup.
Simply put 2021 is the last season we see Cooper, Gallup, and Lamb all playing for Dallas.
