People don't like Crawford because of how much money he makes. But he's not nearly the complete shit people here make him out to be.
I tend to agree with you, he's not garbage, just way over paid.

That said, I wouldn't be against getting Snacks anyways, who cares if he's not the same as McCoy, figure out a way to get him and Poe on the field together. 1st down, 3rd and 1, goal line. There are opportunities for big guys.

Yes I think if someone is reasonable. Yes, he is a glue guy getting paid like a quality starter. His health is the issue now.

That's definitely non-contact, was probably just a matter of time before it happened either now or later.
If you look closely, you'll see he stepped on McCoy's foot on the side of the injury, causing him to stumble and fall.

We've been lucky with camp injuries in recent years (nothing major). It finally caught up to us.
Yep and you just know the year we finally have a real coaching staff that can get us over the hump now they will start having tons of injuries. This team is jinxed.

Yeah, the guy isn't terrible but he's not very good either.

If he were a rotational guy making rotational money, then I doubt you'd hear as many complaints. But as it stands, he is and has been overpaid and it's been a bit frustrating watching the Cowboys over the last few years fail to pull the trigger on a free agent for a contract that was reasonable but yet continue to keep Crawford on the books at his salary.

Oh well. Hopefully he can be productive in his new role.

To be honest, Crawford is an expensive but necessary and effective enough insurance policy

This sums it up well. I invite anyone to explain how Crawford making a 2020 salary virtually equal to what they're set to pay McCoy, Poe, Griffen, and Aldon Smith COMBINED is good business.

I think the Everson Griffen signing has pretty much put that to bed. People have been wailing and gnashing their teeth over Crawford's contract all spring and summer, and how it would keep us from signing an impact player for the Dline.

Guess not.
