Since Derek Ross tallied 5 INTs in like half a season in 2002, has any Cowboy in the last 18 years gotten 5 INTs in a single season?
Ken Hamlin had 5 one year I think, maybe Bruce Carter also.

Are you drunk?

That's rhetorical because I know you are, but I've been saying they need to go after Marcus Williams or John Johnson in free agency for at least month.

Why would I think we're fine at safety when we have one legitimate starter?
My point was that I think it would be a mistake to assume Wilson has arrived as a legitimate starter.

I can guarantee the Joneses do.

They have both been on the grass for two years.

That's true we didn't suffer, in part because we got some big plays and short fields, and in part because we haven't been trending great offensively regardless (it's now 2 weeks in a row that we failed to amass 300 total yards on offense).

Not saying Elliott has been great, but outside of the long run Pollard averaged something like 2.9 ypc. Elliott is almost always better than that.

But this is less about Elliott and more about Pollard and whether Pollard is a long term answer as a starter. Early results are not encouraging.

That's not to say Pollard isn't useful but I'm not so sure he'll ever be an RB1.
Basically what I took from today is Pollard should have been more involved in the offense from the start of the season. He's not a true RB1 who can shoulder a 20+ carry workload from week to week, but I see no reason why they shouldn't continue to use him like they did today. The goal should be to get him approximately 15 touches each game. With our scheme that should still leave 15-20 touches for Zeke.

Thinking Wilson is a legitimate starter and thinking we need an upgrade at safety isn't mutually exclusive.

I don't think there's any chance Woods returns and finding another starter at safety should clearly be one of the top off-season priorities, but relegating Wilson back to the bench next year would be a massive mistake also.

I'm not saying give the guy a 10 million/year extension, but he's looking to be more of a playmaker at safety than anything we've had in a very long time.

Lies!

I just checked. He finished with 5 in 2010.

He had five other seasons with 4 INTs. That's All-Pro material compared to what we've had since he left Dallas.
Ha. You got me.

Yay. Newman once tied a part-timer over a whole career here. Ties Newman with a LBer, Bruce Carter.

Purgatory. No reservations needed.
Earlier today I misspoke. I said I'd be livid if Dallas ended up winning the NFCE.

Livid is the wrong word. I think the more accurate word is disappointed. Because I got my hopes up for a top 5 pick now that feels like a pipe dream.

Yep, looked it up earlier and he had 32 in his years here. Not bad.

Paid for a Mercedes, got a Toyota.

Exacerbating the underwhelm was missing out on Terrell Suggs.

Kinda like Greg Ellis. Fine player, but what if we got Randy Moss

Don't worry, we aren't going to win the division and we're going to be able to get more or less the same caliber of player at 10 as we would've at 4.

We will win at least one of the last two. End up picking 11th. Last time we did that it worked out OK. That's my pipe dream. Last year I all but gave up on this team. This year I have barely watched football(maybe it's Covid). Apathy is where I am falling and I keep following everything and reading the news/ message board out of habit. Glad to see the team found life today. Hopefully some of it will carry into next year

So, with Michael Gallup having a hip injury, we saw way too much of Noah Brown. Why wouldnt we lean on Wilson instead? Was that on Dalton or Moore?
