Depends on if a rework of the contract is part of the deal. Actually, it would depend on a lot. But, the discussion is moot. No one is taking a declining RB on a massive contract plus having to give up draft capital.
Except the Texans but they won't do that a second time.

Honest question; would anybody here consider trading Zeke to gain cap space if it meant having to throw in a sixth- rounder for a team to take that contact off our hands?
Cap space? We’ve had cap space for the last 4+ years. We never do anything with it.

The cap space fetish is misplaced on this owner and GM.

You're right. Wonder if we can cut him now and just take the cap hit this season. We got $26,000,000 in cap right now.

Dude, losing Zeke costs 35m in dead space, and combined with the cap decreasing by 22m it’s a non-starter.

The weird thing is I didn't think Pollard was particularly good today. Other than the long run this isn't the game that would demonstrate that Pollard could adequately replace Zeke.

I think your number is wrong. It's like 24 mil in dead cap from what I'm seeing. If you make it a post June 1st cut It's probably a wash since he is already slated to count 14 mil against the cap.

Me neither. About an hour ago I was having the same discussion with a friend of mine on Facebook. He made a comment about how the offense looked better without Zeke. I responded that I didn't see much of a difference because up until the last 3 minutes of the game the Cowboys only had about 230 yards of total offense. And as you mentioned, if you take away Pollard's 40 yard TD run, he finishes the game with 29 yards on 11 carries.

The only area that I saw a notable difference was on the passes to RBs. Pollards is a lot better in the open field and more of a natural receiver than Zeke.
