"Rarely"? How about never?

Ever heard an Andy Reid press conference after a loss? That dude is practically committing harikari from the podium.

Players don't relate to the "well, we all needed to execute better" as a stock answer. Every time. Especially when it was obvious that there was a playcalling issue.
Yup, you beat me to it.

I don't recall a single instance of him taking the sole blame for anything or ever saying that he, not they or us, failed to get the team prepared to play or anything like that.

One of the many reasons I couldn't stand the guy.

He only half-begrudgingly did in the Amazon Prime special too in his own coaches meeting room after that miserable Falcons loss in 2017.

He basically hung Dak out to dry and acted shocked that he kept getting sacked. The future of the franchise is getting killed, and he just sat there dumbfounded that such a thing could happen.

Garrett scarred us as a fanbase more than any coach. I am sure Schmitty will show up and talk about Campo and especially Phillips.

But Garrett was a decade long shell game.

There is literally a whole generation of fans, Cowboys and opposing teams, who know nothing except the Cowboys being coached by complete dipshits.

It's been 13 seasons of Phillips/Garrett, and if you're an NFL fan in your early 20s you were 10 years old or younger when Parcells last coached here.

There's a whole generation out there who seemingly brush aside the talent on the roster and just assume that our dumbfuck coaches will fuck something up because that's literally all they can ever remember. They don't even know what a competent HC in Dallas looks like, and assuming McCarthy still has some fire left I think they're going to be in for a shock these next few years.

Exactly right. Nothing compares.

And if you're like me and didn't like him and didn't want him hired in the first place let alone fired all along, you felt every god damn day of those ten years.

Campo felt like the blink of an eye.

Not only raised new generation of fans on choking, but chased away legions of legacy hardcore fans.

How many fuckers here do we know gave up the Cowboys because of ineptitude.

I'd feel a lot better about giving Dak what he wants if we were hearing about him doing stuff like this
