There are risks, but I was just basing it off of consensus grades. Not bad if we have the 2nd best draft in the division drafting last.
That is true.
Here is sort of my opinion of the Redskins draft:
Jonathan Allen - He seems like a steal at the pick they got him. I'm not going to hate just for the sake of hating. He is a perfect fit for a 3-4 end. It's not often that you see a 3-4 DE capable of getting double digit sacks and that is what he did in college. The one question of course is his medicals. The other minor problem with Allen is that he is somewhat limited physically. He isn't that tall and he doesn't have the longest arms. Physically he doesn't look like your "prototypical" 3-4 DE.
Ryan Anderson - Another Alabama defender and this one I think is hugely overrated. A really, really average prospect who benefited from a defense that has continually made pass rushers look better than they are. He may play for them but I doubt he will have any significant impact. I'd be pissed if Dallas picked him in the second round.
Fabian Moreau - Excellent pick in the third round. Hell I would have been fine taking him in the second without hesitation.
Samaje Perine - Powerback who I actually like as well. Probably went in the area he should go. Not the fastest guy in the world and ran a slow forty but he was super productive in college and his playing speed is faster than his timed speed. Could be their new feature back.
Montae Nicholson - Bad player with good measurables? Best description I could come up with. I guess in the fourth it isn't the worst but I wouldn't be happy if this was Dallas's pick.
Sprinkle - Bad hands, bad attitude and personally a TE I wanted nothing to do with in Dallas.
The rest of their draft is a bunch of nobody shot in the darks like you see with most sixth and seventh round picks.
Anyway 3 of their first 4 picks were right on the mark in my opinion. But I think their second was a wasted pick and after their draft kind of goes no where after that.
