Sooo, personalities clashed and then he was framed? Mmmkay...I believe I did.
That sounds like a strong admission of guilt. lol

Did you completely dismiss where I said it took 2 personalities to clash, or did your agenda blind you to it?Sooo, personalities clashed and then he was framed? Mmmkay...

As far as a high-level discussion, he was framed. What was spread around was not even close to what they claimed to fire him for. And don't bring that bullshit letter into it. Why would anyone sign that crap? I'm sure if someone said you jacked up someone's home on a restoration and it was a lie you would be happy to sign a letter stating you did it, hence further fucking up your reputation in the industry.Framed. I like the sound of that. Innocent people are framed. Leach was an innocent man just trying his best when those meanies came along and messed everything up.
haha, so you are saying that the administration lied about everything and poor ol Leach is the only one who told the truth? Do you know what that sounds like? It sounds like you have a major boner for one dude and you like the idea of it being him against the world. As far as a high-level discussion, he was framed. As an outsider to this whole thing, I find this interesting. I would now like to hear what the AD that hired him has to say about how he was in their interview. One of my favorite quotes from booster Sowell to Hance during the contract negotiation the year before:
Kent, their latest offer is offensive. Mike wants a salary virtually the same as (Bob) Stoops and (Mack) Brown...
He won 11 games this year -- big deal -- two other tech coaches did it before him and it didn't take either one of them 9 years to do it. What did it get us? The Cotton Bowl. ... In 9 years, he has only had one real interview: Washington. (Where they hired another coach within 24 hours after their interview with Leach). We got the report from the Miami AD on their "interview" with Leach last year in a hotel lobby. The Kentucky job, where he was offensive coordinator for two years, has been open twice since he has been at Tech. They weren't interested in him. ... In spite of being Big 12 Coach of the Year, he is NOT a hot commodity. He has no bargaining power.
so true. Lots of people didn't respect Leach.
Do you mean the initial hire to Tech back in 2000?As an outsider to this whole thing, I find this interesting. I would now like to hear what the AD that hired him has to say about how he was in their interview.
Yes. I gotta think that since it was referenced that he was an assistant at KY and they still didn't hire him away twice, it's implied that he's been nuts forever. I'm curious if the TT AD was so desperate that he had to try something out of the box like a crazy person or if he was normal and just evolved.Do you mean the initial hire to Tech back in 2000?
No it has always been known that he was weird. Tech was willing to take what they could get with the idea that he could make Tech fun, get lots of attention and stuff. All of those goals were accomplished and it was much appreciated by all, including me. You won't find a bigger Leach fans than me. His ego grew and grew and he fell in love with his own weirdness and he thought his legend was bigger than it was. Eventually it ran its course and it was time to go.Yes. Yes, the administration lied about what truly happened. It's that simple.haha, so you are saying that the administration lied about everything and poor ol Leach is the only one who told the truth? Do you know what that sounds like? It sounds like you have a major boner for one dude and you like the idea of it being him against the world.
So, you still say that Leach should have lied about what happened to save him and the university face. So noted, yet again. As far as letters go, in the real business world things happen a lot. People get facts or emotions wrong often when their passions are on the line. So yes, I've compromised many times. I've been involved in lawsuits initiated by me or the other party. You know what, every single one of them was compromised. Further, action HAD to be taken because the Adam situation was high profile. Face needed to be saved at that point. It was getting ugly and Leach should have helped resolve the mess that happened. Instead he just said f-you to everyone involved. Hey, you wanta be a free-spirited rebel and not ever compromise your pride will eventually get you caught. That is a basic life lesson for everyone I think.
The AD that hired him was Gerald Myers. He did so with the blessing of Hance. But, as skid eluded to, there is/was a good ole bunch in the administration at the time, and still to the day. Hance, Myers, Clayton Isom, Bill Dean(director of alumni services), Mickey Long (BOR), and Larry Anders (BOR) are all good buddies that orchestrated the departure of Leach. The same group orchestrated the building of a ridiculous parking structure "across the street" from the football stadium, which has since bombed. No standing up to the good ole boys in that situation. No chance at that point. They found their excuse and ran with it, no matter how much of a lie it was.As an outsider to this whole thing, I find this interesting. That isn't what I said but I understand you desperation at this point.Yes, the administration lied about what truly happened. It's that simple.

Wtf.?! Myers was the biggest coach and leach advocate there was. He helped make the contract happen for leach. At some point he had to sell him down the river once he became such a problem that NOBODY could support him any more. Please tell me, who supported him bedsides all of you Leacher fags? The AD that hired him was Gerald Myers. He did so with the blessing of Hance. Yeah, lie about what he did is what you would have had him do.That isn't what I said but I understand you desperation at this point.
What he should have done is work with his employer. Hey, let's resolve this and figure out a solution. Sign something that said you won't endanger anyone and let's try to make sure that public understands that we are all against punishing injured players before the media bs gets out of control further.
Mikes response - F-you. Literally that is what he said.
Yep, and once the brotherhood decided he was bad news Myers turned on him just as fast as you would have like Leach to join them.Wtf.?! Myers was the biggest coach and leach advocate there was. He helped make the contract happen for leach. At some point he had to sell him down the river once he became such a problem that NOBODY could support him any more. Please tell me, who supported him bedsides all of you Leacher fags?
WTHeck is your problem with this, dude? Are you dense? Are you so dumb that you don't realize that bad blood had build up and then the was a national media crisis that needed addressed? It is Lubbock damn TX, dude. They needed answers. They had a dude on espn and all of his cronies making it seem like ttu needed to have an answer for player abuse. Lubbock f-ing TX dude! Media crisis! Do you get it? So the question is, can leach work with these people? Agree that you won't abuse players and we will move forward even though we think you are a jerk. What was Mikes answer? f-you! Do you deny that? What will the next step be? Suspension. Then he files a lawsuit against the school. You really think there will be a happy ending to this is mikes favor?Yeah, lie about what he did is what you would have had him do.
500 coaches could win 11 games at TTU.One of my favorite quotes from booster Sowell to Hance during the contract negotiation the year before:

Personalities clashed and they fired him and declared sovereign immunity from his contract. Then they F*cked up by not promoting Ruffin McNeil, because they needed a big name who didn't give a shit about TTU thanks to the massive PR flop that was their firing excuse.Sooo, personalities clashed and then he was framed? Mmmkay...
That sounds like a strong admission of guilt. lol
Let's keep in mind that Leach was the one who brought the lawsuit. There weren't lawyers involved until Leach made the move. At that point, yes, it was a battle and Leach lost at every single level. What dumbass brings a lawsuit againt their employer forcing them to let them perform their duties? haha, exactly when does that work out?Personalities clashed and they fired him and declared sovereign immunity from his contract.
Ruffin was the safe hire. I love/loved Ruffin. He is a great man. I wouldn't have been pissed with him at all. As far as massive PR flop goes - ahahaha you Leachers are so grandiose...there was no massive flop. There was a very strong group of Leachers in Lubbock (not exactly massive, eh?) and those turds eventually died out. There is still a small little cult that cries but mostly it is gone. The stadium is selling more tickets than ever and support is higher than ever. Then they F*cked up by not promoting Ruffin McNeil, because they needed a big name who didn't give a shit about TTU thanks to the massive PR flop that was their firing excuse.
