They will have to have a plan in place long term to add some shooters. As much as I like McDaniels, he is not a shooter...he is more of an energy athlete type. Considering we'll have Embiid/Noel up front, pretty limited offensively, you will have to get some scoring from the 2 and 3. Looking at next years crop it is pretty flush with C, PF, and PG products...so hopefully they have a plan to fix that.I feel exactly the same way. We have to wait a little bit but I thinkthey picked up somesolid contributors. But this whole draft hinges on Embiid. with his health he will be boom or bust. but its a good gamble because if he busts they will be back in the lottery again anyway to try again. But if he booms, the sky is the limit for him and for the team because in 2 years there will be a lot of pieces around him.
If Embid is healthy he is not limited offensively he should be a double team type threat. They will have to have a plan in place long term to add some shooters. He is limited...and would be even more limited with no shooters on the perimeter to stretch the D. His offense improved, no doubt, but his strength is his defense, not his offense. If Embid is healthy he is not limited offensively he should be a double team type threat.
He is being compared to Hakeem offensively that's not limited, his defense is not what made him a consensus #1 before the injuries. He is limited...and would be even more limited with no shooters on the perimeter to stretch the D. I am not going to argue this point. I'll just say IMO he is limited offensively. He lacks offensive awareness...IMO.He is being compared to Hakeem offensively that's not limited, his defense is not what made him a consensus #1 before the injuries.
His projected upside is as a 23 plus per game scorer.
Ditto, I'd want them to fail just because they have the name Bobcats.I like what Charlotte is doing and I think they could definitely be pretty nice next year considering how shit the East is.
Of course if they hadn't changed back to the classic Hornets name/colors I probably wouldn't feel this way.
Their games shouldn't conflict much because Rose isn't a volume scorer like Melo/Harden are.And there could be issues in Chicago with Rose so why is he such a good fit in Chicago, we already know Rose does not want anyone taking his shine.
What?Their games shouldn't conflict much because Rose isn't a volume scorer like Melo/Harden are.
He also doesn't need the ball to go through him a lot in order to find his rhythm like those players do either.
I actually think Melo and Rose are a better fit, but two key questions remain:
One, will Rose ever be the player he was before?
Two, as you said, how willing is Rose to welcome another star?
I guess he's tight with the MIL owner so it's gonna happen, but he's lucky. Apparently the Nets are pissed and wouldn't bring him back at all. He could've ended up unemployed. So Jason Kidd tries to get a Doc, Pop, Van Gundy type deal and the Nets said no...so now he is on his way to take an exec position in Mil. Weird.
