Yeah although I don't think Tyrone Crawford is starting there. It's either Collins or Irving at the 3 technique. Collins essentially beat him out for the 3-tech spot last year. I doubt they change their mind and decide to go back to Crawford there.

Yeah I think Irving is better than Crawford. I don't think it was even close last year.

So my thought would be more like:

RE Demarcus Lawrence
3DT David Irving
1DT Maliek Collins
LE Taco Charlton

Would be my starters. Of course you have so many combinations you could use with backups like Paea, Thornton, Crawford, Tapper and Mayowa.

Considering how much Marinelli mixed/matched last year I don't think we should pigeonhole guys into 1-tech, 3-tech, etc.

Basically I'd look at it like this:

True DE's: Charlton, Mayowa, Lawrence, Tapper
True DT's: Collins, Thornton, Paea
Guys who will likely shift in and out: Irving, Crawford

Charlton can flip inside a bit but I don't think he will with guys like Irving and Crawford on the roster.

Not a bad group, there's still room for improvement obviously but it's definitely better than what we had over the last few seasons.
