    Micah Parsons Traded To Packers

And how in the hell are we supposed to ever keep Pickens with the same agent after all this? Part of the reason you trade him is so you don't have to stretch to keep guys like Pickens and Bland.

    Micah Parsons Traded To Packers

I was always perfectly fine with trading him but only for a certain type of deal, this definitely wasn't it. We should've gotten two 2's on top if the player was a 30 year old.

    Micah Parsons Traded To Packers

These idiots panicked and made an emotional deal too quickly, there's no chance this is the best they could've gotten. Unreal.

    Micah Parsons Traded To Packers

Maybe so, and yes this is a terrible trade. If it was Rashan Gary, sure, but what in the heck is the value of a 30-year old 10-year DT? I'd rather have a straight 2 than him.

    Micah Parsons Traded To Packers

There's gotta be something else. Two 1's and Clark is ridiculous, he's a good player but he's 30. If that's all it is they should just tank now.

    Micah Parsons Traded To Packers

Yea, they had to take a stand at some point that they just weren't going to give guys top of market deals because they're the next guy up. Parsons shouldn't have been the guy to make an example out of but here we are.

    Micah Parsons Traded To Packers

This is all I've seen on compensation, so I don't think it's just two 1's.

    Micah Parsons Traded To Packers

Crazy, although as long as the return is good I'm fine with it. The organization needs to straighten out how it does extensions, but it also needs to prove a point that they aren't just going to automatically hand guys top of market deals.

It's clearly a pissing match at this point. 40.5/year makes sense because it's barely above what the Browns gave Garrett, and the conversations supposedly happened before the Watt deal a month or so ago that was 41/year. I'm sure if Jerry and the agent kissed and made up they could easily work...

Sources: Cowboys appear open to Micah Parsons trade offers This part seems especially interesting and would track with some of the stuff we've heard about 4 years vs. 5: Jones believes the Cowboys had an agreement with Parsons on a five-year extension that averaged $40.5 million per season...

Yea I think going from two 1's to three 1's is kind of a big deal, if we can get it, great, but it'd be shocking given the recent history of trades for elite players (Mack and Ramsey primarily). I think we should be getting more than either of those teams but three 1's, two 2's and a borderline...

So besides the Walker trade basically the highest price ever paid for a player in a trade? You might as well just say you wouldn't consider trading him. Three 1's and a player, depending on the type of player, I could see. Throwing in 2's on top of that is never going to happen.

I was adding in his run defense, which is excellent, when calling him top tier. But no, he's not an elite pure pass rusher, but I think he's a top tier edge in general when you add in his run defense. Given that we have pure speed rushers on the roster like Fowler, Ezeiruaku and even Houston, I...

Jerry is the root of the issue, his agent is a jackass but as usual all roads point back to Jerry and his bullshit.

Sure, which is why I'm fine making him the highest paid non-QB in the league, within reason. But to pretend like there aren't very strong arguments to be made for trading him is sticking your head in the sand. Namely, it's very questionable whether or not this team will be able to compete for a...

Two 1's and two 2's is the price for a relatively shit team, for a team likely to be going deep into the playoffs I'd need more value in terms of picks or players. Rashan Gary and two 1's is basically three 1's in my mind, which is why I'd be down for a deal roughly along those lines.

    2025 Random Cowboys Stuff Thread

I'd rather have the picks in the next two drafts than in this past one, primarily because 2026 looks to be a potentially strong QB class, and potentially 2027 as well depending on who leaves and who stays in college. 2027 is also going to be a special year for position players with several guys...

Somewhat, but depending on the return I think I might even prefer trading him. He's a special player for sure, but he's also very undersized and needs to be protected both by the scheme and by having certain types of players around him. I don't think we've done a great job on either, and adding...
