I still think Purdy is legit. I still haven’t watched regulation of the SB, but listening to sports radio and ESPN/FS1, they think Purdy’s SB performance was solid/played well.

Thx for finding that. Partially heard it on the radio and wanted all of it.

First, I’m surprised 40% is successful. Seems high. Figured it would’ve been in the 20-30%.

Secondly, Romo and Prescott would be 20% successful

By the way, looking at 2007 Giants, down 21-17, after the Giants punt, our offense started the drive at NYG 48 with 1:50 and 1 TO.

Having 1:50 at midfield seems like cake nowadays, yet I recall back then really being pressed for time.

Final play incomplete to Terry Glenn started with 00:16, 4th 11 from the 23 yard line.

We moved 25 yards in 1:34 and used a timeout.

64.3% man. Look at Purdy’s other poor game vs Cleveland. 71% man

Albert Breer said Spagnuolo told him that Purdy was ripping apart his zone defense first half so they flipped at halftime and went almost exclusively man coverage rest of the game.

He was very consistent, and I thought he truly changed the narrative about himself in the NFC Championship game. The 49ers lose that game without him in the 2nd half, ie, Joe EveryQB would not have brought SF all the way back.

His SB performance was solid, he just isn’t Patrick Mahomes. He also had the disadvantage of going first in playoff overtime. Still, had Chris Jones not pressured the shit out of him he would have scored a TD on that first drive.

That bread and butter play that destroys the defense when you absolutely must have it… I don’t think Shanahan and Purdy are there yet.

The Chiefs’ last play was artwork by comparison, HC, QB, team working together and flawlessly executing a plan.

To dial that up consistently takes continuity and excellence
