Just keep plugging along Patrick. Some day if you keep trying you'll be remembered as an all time QB. Not quite there yet. / sarcasm

I really didn't understand why KC didn't call a time out there before the TD. Turns out Andy Reid knows better than me. I'm assuming it was so the defense couldn't substitute, catch it's breath, or think about things.
Nance was saying the end of the OT was like the end of a quarter, not end of half/game. They just would have kept playing.

Wait, I'm reading that if time ran out they'd play another OT? When was this rule? OT rules are so stupid now.

I was watching Nickelodeon so I didn't hear that. I actually didn't know that. That's a weird rule to me.

Pretty sure that's only in the playoffs. In the regular season it would be a tie.

I think so anyway. Someone DM McNabb to be sure.

Of course.

I guess my point is there's no reason we couldn't have done more with the talent we had.

We need better coaching and we need players that don't shit themselves.
IMO, it comes down to culture and mindset.

Teams like the Chiefs and 49ers go into big games with a confident mindset and they expect to win. The Cowboys on the other hand, go into big games with a timid mindset and they play not to lose.

Well, yeah. You can't have a tie in the playoffs. Somebody has to advance. Or in the case of the super bowl, be crowned champion.

Relief for another year
It wouldn't have bothered me if the 49ers won. I'm more concerned with the Cowboys getting their act together.

49ers are at least making regular trips to the NFCCG and Super Bowl. We're coming up on 30 years without making it past the divisional round.

I'd don't even care about the whole who has the most Super Bowls thing. We've already been passed by the Steelers and Patriots. The 49ers will probably pass them shortly and by the looks of it the Chiefs will probably blow past the Cowboys within the next 5 years.

That’s a tall order when it’s your QB that keeps shitting himself.

This organization is trapped by the thinking of timid minds, even if Penix Jr or any another strong 1-2 round prospect fell to us after a successful trade down we still wouldn’t take a shot. That’s how chicken shit we are.

Fortune favors the bold, and that ain’t us

Nance said this was the first year with this new postseason OT rule.

The way I understood it they were treating OT like a new game. So if the Chiefs didn't score that GW TD when they did (there was like 5 seconds on the clock) and had to run another play, they'd have switched sides of the field and continued the drive as if it were the start of the 2nd quarter.

I bet there are a lot of players on the team that are fed up with Dak as well.

All that stuff from family members didn't just come from the family members, IMO. I think they were just saying out loud a lot of stuff that was discussed in privacy.

Yeah, weird rule. I thought 2OT would’ve started with kickoff to Chiefs if tied. 49ers win if Chiefs didn’t tie it up.

But wouldn’t have made a difference. There was plenty of time for Chiefs.

But it wasn't a tie, it was a 3 point game at that point.

But they were talking about if the Chiefs tied it up again with a FG, and then time ran out. At least that's the way I understood it.

Interesting how the Chiefs have had almost identical performances in all of their SB wins.

In all 3, they've started off slow, played from behind, and had to pull out the win late.

It all counts the same, it's just interesting to me that they can't ever seem to get off to a fast start in these Superbowls and yet still find ways to win them.

49ers won the coin toss and elected to receive it. I didn't see how game went into OT, but that's a mistake, right?

First possession cannot win; Second possession can.

The coin toss loser has the advantage to go for win if 49ers kick FG or don't score.

If it was 4th and goal from within the 5 yard line, maybe even 8 yard line, I'm confident Andy Reid is going for the win. No way is he kicking ball back to 49ers for a second possession with FG to win.
