Can't have nice things like LVE when a QB that elevates the play of no one gets 40 mil per year. The salary cap system punishes severely teams that draft well.

Um, no, @L.T. Fan . Murray was not better than Zeke.

Zeke was excellent his first few years. He just broke down like all backs eventually do.
I said I get it that why he was let go but Elliot never had the speed that Murray had nor could he get to the outside perimeter that Murray could. Murray was a more productive runner by a long sot than Elliot. Murray had the speed of Pollard and physical strength of Elliot.

The guy Zeke replaced was one of the best running backs that ever played for the Cowboys but everyone thought Zeke was so superior to him. Turns out Zeke had maybe one season that he was truly productive and that was the season he was paid his huge contract. Since then he has been primarily a junk runner and makes 2 to 3 attempts to get to a hole before it closes. He still can’t do this. And by the way the guy that was let go still holds the record for the most yardage ever in a season for a Cowboys running back.
I took a lot of heat because I dared to say he was a better back than Elliot. I get it that he needed to be replaced but my contending that he was a better back than Zeke has long since proven that I was correct.
With daylight ahead, I remember a desperate arm flail causing a Demarco Murray fumble that was a huge turning point in a painful playoff loss.

But, yes, today of all days let’s celebrate him as one of the best RBs to play for this franchise. Top 5? How about Top 3? Better than Dorsett? Dorsett never won a season rushing title.

Cutting Zeke will actually be salary cap beneficial for the first time in his bullshit contract if I remember right. He just can't be on the team anymore. He's fucking done at 27 years old. Plays like he's 37

Yeah just not possible. Better to look elsewhere.
Ika is the guy, he's a 2-down player for the most part but he would shut down the interior shit, particularly the draws the Eagles love to run. It'd free up everybody else to flow to the ball as well as force teams into clear passing situations (2nd and 8, 3rd and 7, etc.) where Parsons and so forth could pin their ears back.

Helps when your qb is still on his rookie contract. Burrow might be going to two straight Super Bowls and Hurts is on the precipice.

Josh Allen has been to a Championship game.
Yes, my bad. And that was his best season completion % wise, TD wise, Int wise. Still playing great, but he turns it over quite a bit when you factor in his fumbles. Had to be near the top on the league this year and he fumbled in the playoffs multiple times and lost one. Dak may have lost maybe 1 fumble all season.

Allen has played great in the playoffs for the most part. This year I didn't think so. He's only 26. Long way to go. But when you're the preseason favorite to win the Super Bowl you have to get farther than the divisional round and a blowout loss at home.

AFC is only getting harder. Mahomes, Burrow, Herbert, Lawrence, Jackson. Playoff games against these QB's the next 5-10 years are going to be tough.

But where has Allen gotten the Bills? They were the preseason favorites this year and still no AFC Championship games.

This guy can put up all the numbers he wants and run all over the place, buy he ain't won shit yet and pretty soon, if not already, Bills fans will start turning on him. They'll start with the coaching staff, but another year or two without advancing further they'll come for him.

I get a lot of the Dak criticism, but it's hard to win a Super Bowl. Ask Dan Marino, Jim Kelly, took Elway forever. As great as Aaron Rodgers is he has 1. Same with Brees.

How about winning a friggin division round game?
