I'd rather give the younger LBers some playing time and see what they have. I hate to say it but the remaining games on our schedule don't hold a ton of importance. Give the young guys a chance at LBer, see what they can do and maybe they surprise a little.
About half of Dak's INT's aren't egregious and a good number of them have bounced off hands, Brown in particular now in back to back weeks.
Like I said earlier, drops have been a big problem.
They still think they should have closed that game out. When the other team runs and throws without regard, then maybe it should have happened.
Speaking of, I think Trevor leads league in drops.
Like I said earlier, drops have been a big problem.
For a fucking 5th round pick. I still can't get over that shit. It's too bad we didn't already have a receiver on the roster who excelled at route running and getting open.
Basically the same thing I said.
Another thing worth noting in regards to the Cowboys using the draft to find franchise QBs. Their track record for drafting/acquiring QBs has been laughably bad since Aikman retired.Like sure, if we're picking in the top 10 and want to take a swing, great, but aside from that there's almost no chance we're going to find a QB as good as Dak.
That could be true, but Aikman was the last QB we drafted or acquired the traditional way as far as targeting a franchise QB.Another thing worth noting in regards to the Cowboys using the draft to find franchise QBs. Their track record for drafting/acquiring QBs has been laughable bad since Aikman retired.
It's well documented how it was mostly blind luck that enabled them to acquire Dak and Romo. IMO, the Cowboys finding those two QBs fit more into the mold of "a broken clock being right twice a day" rather than stellar work by the front office and scouting department.
I don't trust their ability to find a QB unless it's inside the top 10.
After reading some of the posts here, I’d say it’s mostly the latter. The outrage around Dak is either completely performative or just pure stupidity.
This whole narrative is silly. Unless you’re drafting one at the very top of the draft, (and they don’t bust) finding one is luck. It's well documented how it was mostly blind luck that enabled them to acquire Dak and Romo.
I'm not too concerned with our pass defense, it was basically all Joseph since outside of his two pathetic plays Lawrence was 25/40 for 249 yards, which is barely 6 YPA.
Joseph doesn’t concern you? Or are you assuming a different option opposite Diggs, like Wright? CB2 is scary right now.I'm not too concerned with our pass defense, it was basically all Joseph since outside of his two pathetic plays Lawrence was 25/40 for 249 yards, which is barely 6 YPA.
The problem, as always, is still the run defense and the inability to play assignment sound particularly on misdirection and jet sweep type action towards the perimeter.
