Sturm’s first couple sentences compliment Prescott, best passing games and big plays. No mention of Pollard struck me, so I took that as an opp to see what Pollard’s statistical growth has been and shared his 2x increase here. I’m a swell guy.I don’t think anybody is withholding credit to Pollard. He’s been getting a lot of love the last few weeks from the national media.
Absolutely. There is intertwining between Dak’s return to Pollard’s emergence. Can’t separate the two, but Dak’s return is not the sole catalyst for the overall offense’s improvement.
In terms of Pollards emergence, in addition to Dak’s return softening the box, some of it also attributed to just Pollard getting more workload (and productivity) with Zeke’s injury.
Credit to Dak is warranted, but giving Pollard his due, too. Sturm I’m sure is intending the same, but just coined it ‘Prescott’s return’ for brevity.
You pick Pollards worst performance to support the Dak theory .Pollard went for 18/60/3.3 plus 2 catches for 1 yard last week against the giants. And yet we won by a sizable margin.
It's been Dak.

The point isn't to denigrate Pollard. You pick Pollards worst performance to support the Dak theory .
Dak had two picks.
Defense totally bailed out the offense Thursday
You are ate up, brother. The point isn't to denigrate Pollard.
The point is that Phil was trying to credit the offense's resurgence since Dak came back in part to Pollard's increased touches. So it makes sense to look at an example of when Pollard didn't play well to see if it affected the offense's production, and it didn't.
In other words, if Pollard's increased touches were a big part of the offense's resurgence as Phill suggests, then it would follow that the offense would struggle when Pollard struggled and it didn't.
I 100% agree with that. The offense went as Dak went.
Not only that but Dak is checking into plays that Rush wasn't. If the defense looks vulnerable to a particular play Dak is getting into that play. Some of those are running plays. So yes, that freedom of getting into the right play is helping the RBs too. Of course Pollard getting more play helps too. His snap counts have been much higher due to the Zeke injury and his emergence.Defenses have to respect the passing game more with Dak in over Rush. Of course that’s going to help the running game.
I’d like to see the amount of times we ran into 8 or 9 man boxes vs now. I would bet it was quite a bit more with Rush under center.
We scored 28 points and should have scored 31. The offense did their part. The INTs just prevented then from scoring even more. Like the INT before half when we were in scoring position.Defense totally bailed out the offense Thursday
Especially with this defense. But if your offense gives you 28+ they are definitely doing their part and we win a lot of games when they do that.
You are ate up, brother.
You select one game to prove a point, where there is a much bigger sample set to prove the opposite. Every player has down games. Even the greats.
I 100% agree with that.
I would agree that the offense was fine in that one game without Pollard's best game. I also know that before Zeke got hurt our running game sucked, and as soon as he went out and they were forced to use Pollard more, the running game got much better. Not to denigrate Zeke as I have always been a fan. Matter of fact, he is what caused me to break my boycott of Jerry. Only jersey since Romo. And I'm merely pointing out that there's evidence that the offense has been just fine without a great performance from Pollard.
I think you may have misworded your first post, or I misunderstood you. I agree that the offense goes as Dak goes. Just as it does with 99.9% of football teams. Then what are you disagreeing with? Nobody has to defend Pollard here, I'm not putting him down.
That's simply not true, but it has gotten better since Dak got back and part of that is defenses respecting the QB.I also know that before Zeke got hurt our running game sucked,
I agree.but it has gotten better since Dak got back and part of that is defenses respecting the QB.
