Not sustainable...Damn the Eagles at +13 in TO differential.
I think they are for real unfortunately.

Part of that gaudy differential is that fact they don't turn it over and get takeaways.Agreed. They've played mostly bad teams. Bad teams turn the ball over.
That's a fluke stat that will inevitably revert to the mean.Damn the Eagles at +13 in TO differential.

And that's because they've mostly played shit teams and can use their running game to control the pace of the game while only passing on their terms.Part of that gaudy differential is that fact they don't turn it over and get takeaways.
With the games they have left with us and the Titans will be gut check for them. And that's because they've mostly played shit teams and can use their running game to control the pace of the game while only passing on their terms.
Those sorts of game scripts won't continue all year, particularly against more talented teams.
Yea and I think the Giants will give them a tough game in one of their two matchups. They're like the Skins in that they aren't especially good but they can muck up a game and make things difficult if you aren't on your game. With the games they have left with us and the Titans will be gut check for them.
This is the scary kind of hope we get mid season. Our defense is scary and now the offense is leading the league in statistics. The team normally would find a way to blow it. Let’s see if they have changed.
For the most part he's played well, but he's still turning the ball over too much.
Hopefully they'll peak later on...usually spent by week 8 or so.This is the scary kind of hope we get mid season. Our defense is scary and now the offense is leading the league in statistics. The team normally would find a way to blow it. Let’s see if they have changed.
Sturm only states the name Dak Prescott, and, while Prescott’s return is significant, it’s doing Tony Pollard’s emergence a disservice.
I don’t think they’ll blow it, they have found a strong balance of run and pass that works consistently. The only problem is the every other week flood of stupid penalties. Dak will take chances and throw a pick, but this defense can cover at least one sin that’s not critical .This is the scary kind of hope we get mid season. Defenses have to respect the passing game more with Dak in over Rush. Of course that’s going to help the running game.Sturm only states the name Dak Prescott, and, while Prescott’s return is significant, it’s doing Tony Pollard’s emergence a disservice.
Tony Pollard’s rushing yards per game have almost doubled 49 ypg (first six games) vs 94 ypg (last five games). Throw in his 109 receiving yards vs Minn as the cherry on top.
I’d like to see our average yards to go on 3rd down pre and post Dak/Pollard
And as good as it is to have Dak back and see him steadily improving, seeing the team embrace Tony Pollard as their primary weapon and Pollard remaining healthy through it has me most excited.Defenses have to respect the passing game more with Dak in over Rush. Of course that’s going to help the running game.
I’d like to see the amount of times we ran into 8 or 9 man boxes vs now. I would bet it was quite a bit more with Rush under center.
For the most part he's played well, but he's still turning the ball over too much.
Even if CD didn't flatten a route or whatever, too many of Dak's interceptions have come from poor judgement on low percentage opportunities.
That's got to get cleaned up.
Absolutely. There is intertwining between Dak’s return to Pollard’s emergence. Can’t separate the two, but Dak’s return is not the sole catalyst for the overall offense’s improvement.Defenses have to respect the passing game more with Dak in over Rush. I don’t think anybody is withholding credit to Pollard. He’s been getting a lot of love the last few weeks from the national media.Absolutely. In terms of Pollards emergence, in addition to Dak’s return softening the box, some of it also attributed to just Pollard getting more workload (and productivity) with Zeke’s injury.
Credit to Dak is warranted, but giving Pollard his due, too. Sturm I’m sure is intending the same, but just coined it ‘Prescott’s return’ for brevity.
