I'm kind of over the whole OBJ recruiting thing. Seems like he's just dragging this out for the attention.

And I'm willing to bet that he won't make much of an impact this year. Learning a new scheme midseason plus coming back from a major injury just screams 3 catches for 24 yards per game.
This has disaster written all over it IMO. Biggest thing is like you say, he is not going to be himself until probably next year. Just look at Gallup. But people are going to expect Prime OBJ and we're going to force the ball to him.

Plus just the entire circus/distraction when we all know this team needs to stay on point as much as possible.

If I'm wrong, great. But I wouldn't take the chance.

I agree his numbers probably won't be great but having another weapon that defenses have to pay attention to could help a lot. The big thing would be to have him up to speed and ready to break out by the playoffs.

And, if Lamb or Gallup get injured maybe we won't be screwed.

Also can we all agree that Iamtdg is bad luck? I don't think he should be allowed to start another game day thread.
I said so last week, asshole! But, I feel like I'm back. I did call for Ace to start the chatter thread, so I'm at least partially responsible for the win.

Oh, and I will not start another chatter thread for the rest of this season. It will be @Texas Ace from here on out. I hope he's an early riser.

Remember me talking about how quick he could come back? Yeah, I remember too.

Yeah, but it does take players off the field like (I know this sounds weird) Noah Brown off the field. Chemistry is a huge thing with QBs.

I actually want Noah Brown off the field. He's a placeholder. I don't think he has any special chemistry with Dak.

I've said before but as long as we don't change what we do on offense I have no problem adding OBJ. Having a guy capable of beating a top NFL corner is important. Noah Brown and Tolbert aren't capable of doing that.

I don't think OBJ would be a polarizing figure here at this stage in his career. He isn't coming here to be the star just like the Rams last year.

I’m still not a believer. Seen this too many times.

Would still enjoy a nice beat down of the Giants on Thanksgiving. We have lost far too many thanksgiving games recently.
I mean I'm not either. But then again I think the Eagles and Vikes are frauds. The NFC is just so wide open this year. Now maybe that means a Bucs or 49ers team can sleep walk through the season and go to the Superbowl but just no one in the NFC is even mildly scary to me this year.

We can beat anyone, we are just not gonna beat everyone.

But who can in the NFC? Whoever gets hot at the end of the season will probably make the Superbowl in the NFC. Like back when that 9-7 Giants team went to the Superbowl. Just hot at the right time with weak competition.
