He doesn't like his football acumen to be questioned, heat needs to be applied now.

Like you mentioned about Zimmer being forced into a 3-4...that's not really what happened.

Zimmer was forced on Parcells because of this GM who thinks he needs continuity during a coaching change for some reason.
You are quite incorrect, amigo. He was eventually forced into having to travel the country in an offseason to learn the 3-4 after Parcells basically told Jones a year with the 4-3 was enough.

Why was Zimmer the DC, Parcells chose him?

And the only reason he pulled that off is because Parcells was Parcells and he had such a strong personality.

Exactly, and that's why he gets chippier and less tolerant with each passing week.

He won't be doing his salesman pitch come early November if we're sitting there with 6 losses already.
It depends on how bad the rest of the division is. Until we are mathematically eliminated, he will be optimistic about getting into “the tournament”. I will take some embarrassment to see any sort of change.

If I remember correctly, the Jones' really liked him and asked Parcells to consider him for the job.

My guess is that keeping him was Parcells' way of throwing them a bone.

To be fair, at least Zimmer ended up being a quality NFL coach, but that's besides the point.

They’re 30th in total offense and the only team without a TD. Not hard to see this being uglier than Mrs. Mahomes going into the bye
I kind of question if McCarthy survives until Green Bay or a humiliating ass whipping is the final straw.

Honestly, I think he gets canned mid-season and Quinn gets the interim job, then gets the full time gig, and we STILL keep Moore.

This is honestly the worst case scenario, but that's what's going to happen.

Agreed. I think his absolute worst fear is to become irrelevant.
And that may be why Jerry is okay with Goof Son's cheapness. Maybe Jerry saw that his gambles with Joey Galloway etc led to the 5-11 seasons, and those almost killed his new Stajium. Those years forced him to hire Parcells, give up some control, and walk on eggshells. He never wants to go through that again.

He might now see that relevance is the real key, because that keeps the cash rolling in. And cash (and fame) is what he really cares about.

If Payton gets hired and retains Moore, then you'll know who's really running the show. There's no way he'd keep a never-was like Moore without pressure from above.

I'd like the media to focus on the failures of the GM.

Why did he force the inexperienced OC on the HC?
McCarthy was desperate for another job and would've agreed to practically any conditions. Moore didn't keep his job because he earned it or "wowed" anyone.

Yeah, that actually might have a chance to take off now because even our dumbest fans are finally losing it.

Like I said, the pressure, frustration, and negative perception has never been greater than it's going to be this season so let's see how many winks and Jerry-isms we get from that old bastard come November.
Social media has really jumped off since then too.

Zimmer had a crazy work ethic. Parcells loves that in a coach. I think Parcells got on board because he really liked Zimmer the person and thought he could mold him.

Kellen Moore is a different situation. McCarthy is more like I'll stay away and let him do his thing.
