Same with their stance on eggs. I'm not sure... are they bad for us again, or good for us again? They change their mind every few years or so.

What does being a kid or an adult have to do with drinking milk? It's good for you, and goes great with a meal.

NOT drinking milk is weird to me.

Kids bones are still forming and need the calcium in milk. Adults do not have the same requirement to maintain healthy bones. Nothing wrong with drinking it just not as necessary. I still love it with Ovaltine.

Since NoDak brought it up, how many here have even had milk fresh from the cow?

I remember having that at my great grandparents in Oklahoma as a kid. I thought it was digusting with all the fat in it. And it was so fresh it was still kind of warm. My sister and I were like, what is this? It can't really be milk.

Not from a cow but we did have a goat when I was a kid. Didn’t care for it warm and it took getting used to even cold.

Not a fan of goats milk. During my first deployment to the Middle East, we had no cows milk. Only goat and camel milk.

I'm mildly lactose intolerant so I don't drink milk, but sometimes I make protein shakes out of milk kefir that has the lactose neutralized. When the store is out of it, I've gotten the goat version. It's not horrible, but... Not a fan.

Edit, @NoDak... What does camel milk taste like? Besides bad. Never even read about that.

It was served room temp. And was kind of creamy and sweet tasting. It wasn't awful, but was pretty hard to get over the being warm part. My milk has to be cold. Or it's a no go. I heard it was much better cold, but never had the opportunity to try it that way.

Same with the goats milk. They'd serve it room temp. No thank you.

(I was with a MASH unit during Desert Storm, and we ate in a civilian hospital where the cafeteria was ran by locals. All the food and drink was local fare. Never ate so much rice in my damn life. Every frickin meal. Still not big on rice after that.)

Oh yeah, Brits do too. Like Guinness should be warm. It does let you taste it better, but still, who wants warm beer.
