For most of them, you are right.Tragic. I remember hating on the guy when he was washed up. Times like this remind you that these guys are human, it kinda makes one fee like shit for ever criticizing.
RIP.
That's the first run that pops into my mind when thinking about MBIII.That run out of the end zone is a perfect representation of his style. If he wanted to go somewhere, he was going somewhere.
Me too.I’ve still got his jersey.
2:47My favorite plays of his are the TD run vs Atlanta in 2006 and the catch out on the flat vs the Bears in 2007 where he destroyed Adam Archuleta.
I think what I enjoyed most about those plays were that they showed all of his talents -- his violence, but also his very underrated quick feet and lateral movement.
It's what made him HIM.
He was easily one of the most violent runners I know I have seen in the past couple of decades.Props.
When you watch it live it doesn't look that violent, but then you see the picture:

I don't remember the Ultimate Furley.Great nickname organically born from his style of play, not self-promotion. The Barbarian.
@Iamtdg Post the Ultimate Furley. That’s a DCC original by HWSNBN when we were all spazzing out after he ripped off some stiff arms and broken tackles. He’d shake his dreads when he was feelin it and we’d call him Ultimate Warrior or Predator.
We…literally…just…had…this…pffffffffffffffffI don't remember the Ultimate Furley.
His business decisions were a bit different. That run out of the end zone is a perfect representation of his style. If he wanted to go somewhere, he was going somewhere.
What is so impressive about that particular collision with Archuleta is, he's hit just before that by another Bears defender and it practically halts all his momentum.... And yet, he generates so much force in such a small space that he causes Archuleta to deflect off of him.He was easily one of the most violent runners I know I have seen in the past couple of decades.
3:45My absolute favorite Marion Barber memory wasn't any one of the many violent runs he had.
It was the way he single-handed my put the Redskins away on the road late in the 4th quarter in 2008 in Romo's first game back from injury in a month.
That drive was only to second to Emmitt's in SB 28 as far as best drives by a Cowboys RB go.
