I didn't call the Smith pick 5th round fluff. I was talking about all the bullshit on stage between picks, making them fall behind.
ahh i dont watch and that is why happens every year and this years worse given the hiatus and now in LV dudes like to hear themselves talk,.

Yeah I like what Bell was in college but I'd be scared before day 3. You're exactly right, measurables are kind of shit but he was stupid productive at Purdue. I know most say he looks slow on tape. Hell if I know but he looked fast against my Iowa defense unfortunately. I'd take a swing on the guy but I sure as shit wouldn't bank on him the way I would the other receivers listed. Who were also productive, looked great on tape and ran great forties.
Ticket guys like Sturm last night were comparing him maybe to Robert Woods, who apparently (I didn't remember) tested very poorly also.

Which made me think -- for that matter Cooper Kupp didn't test that well either, did he?

But like they said, Bell was first team all B10 ahead of a bunch of other bigger names for what he produced on the field. It is always tough though to project the guys who don't seem athletic to the next level.

FWIW, I've always kind of liked guys from the non-marquee schools whose teams are mostly outmanned every week but still produce in a good league.

I'd like to see them bolster the defense tonight. Give Quinn a few more toys to work with and hope that he can create a truly special defensive unit.

IMO, that would have more of a positive impact for the Cowboys than handing Kellen Moore another tool that he has absolutely no clue how to use.

I would rather go for Alec Pierce or Shakir in the 3rd.
I would too (On Bell) but at the rate this draft is going I doubt they make it to us. What was it, 6 WRs gone already? You still have teams like the Chiefs and Packers who have an even bigger need than us.

I'd take Pickens or Watson all day. Tolbert is a little more borderline for me. Would depend on who else is left. I'm not waiting until the third banking on Shakir or Pierce being there if I have a shot at a true impact WR like Pickens or Watson. Tolbert to me is more in line with Gallup so I'd probably agree with you there. Even if it meant moving up in the third round for one of those guys.

Yeah the difference to me is that when those guys played in college no one watched them and said they looked slow. And then subsequently ran a shit forty time. Like Anquan Boldin for example. He looked explosive in college. He just wasn't good at running a forty. Jerry Rice ran like a 4.6 something forty but no one watched his tape and thought, this guy is slow.

My concern with Bell is that prior to the forty everyone already didn't think he was fast or explosive. His forty just confirmed what people already though. But I'd define Bell as crafty. Maybe that is Robert Woods like.

Anyone else find it weird that Goodell introduced a heart transplant recipient as a Make-a-Wish kid? That usually means the kid is a goner.

It is not just his 40. His other athletic scores are awful.
Right, so... how is able to do what he does in the league?

I mean, we kind of know the answer, that there are a lot of little nuances to playing football than the underwear Olympics do not reveal. Still, how does someone who does what he does on the field not show up better in testing?

Frankly I do too. I wouldn't be upset by any means if we took him in the second. It would kind of be like Tyler Smith for me though. Would just feel a little early. Although as long as the off the field stuff all 100% checks out I think I'd probably have Sam Williams as a second round talent anyway. I'm all about traits combined with production. 6'4" 260 pounds, 4.46 forty and 12.5 sacks and 16 tackles for loss. His stats destroy Travon Walker's for example. But his traits are right there.

So yeah, sign me up. But I also really love Ebikete, Mofe and Ojabo.
We’ve telegraphed our crush on this guy for awhile now.
