I just think you want the best possible product on the field for your premier event.

Joe Namath, Terry Bradshaw, Warren Moon, and Jerry Rice are in commercials for the Nebraska Power lottery. Makes sense.

But you know what isn't hard to predict? That it's going to be very very cold in NYC in February, just like everyone knows it's going to be extremely hot in Texas in July.

It was a horrible idea to put an Super Bowl in NY, period.
I agree.

But when I read Carp's post I thought he was saying that there is supposed to be a huge storm that week. I was like... that makes no sense.

There might be, sure.

They used to use that as their excuse for years for having it at a neutral site. Don't want the weather causing the better team to lose, etc. not sure why they changed their tune.

The NFL should just make it 4 feet down for a completed pass.

Forget this bullshit about 'football move' and going to the ground shit going on.

The weather will be shitty regardless. You open yourself up to weather situations like that in an outdoor cold weather stadiums. It is possible to know that.

Jay Glazer too...watch for Schefter's Quizno's commercial.
Glazer is probably the most ridiculous example. Even football fans (the only people on the planet who even know who that is) couldn't care less what the hell he's eating.

Major revenue from New York City money, I'm guessing.

Not just ticket sales, but from NFL-sponsored events for those 2 weeks.

Randy Jackson would've been a better choice.

In this case...I honestly think 9/11 played a part.

For what it's worth, the Eagles play 4 teams with a winning record. They have not beaten a team with a winning record yet this season.

Man.

I can't get over how fucking bad Claiborne is.

He's 2009 Terence Newman bad right now. And I suspect he's bitching out with exaggerated injuries because he's sucking, too.

How do you get that call, that wrong? This team thought he was Deion Sanders part 2.

I mean, he is ending up as one of Jerry's worst EVER draft picks. Have we ever blown not just a top 10 pick, but the value of a top 10 pick PLUS a second rounder, this badly?

I mean, normally its at least an annoyingly average Greg Ellis or Terence Newman when it's that high of a pick.

It's a better trade than Roy Williams (WR), though. Things are looking up.
