I'm a lawyer so yeah, I have a pretty good idea of how this all works.
But that's not what I'm talking about. My opinion doesn't have anything to do with whether he's specifically guilty or innocent of this crime.
I'm not even talking about his career. Some other team is welcome to pick him up and deal with him. I don't think he should be deprived of his career unless he's convicted and goes to prison.
But he made the decision to run with a crew that's willing to kill a man. Someone killed the guy. I don't think it was Joseph but it sure seems like it was probably someone he was running with. That says quite a lot about a guy's character. Who's to say that the next incident won't be him? I now don't trust him. Can you imagine relying on the guy as your starter and the week before a playoff game, he does something along these lines and is suspended or something? We'll wish we'd already moved on.
Go back to Parcells. He cut a guy for GETTING shot. Because when you are running a team, you don't want guys who are running with things like this. You can't trust or rely on them. And if they are making decisions like this, then it's an indication that football just isn't important enough.
It's not about whether he's guilty or innocent in a legal sense.
He's on video as being at the scene. Even if he's completely innocent legally, he's clearly involving himself in things and people that he shouldn't.
You bring up Ray Lewis, but Lewis was legitimately a HOF talent. I don't see that in Joseph. Which makes the headache not worth it.
Note that I'm replying to you and your opinions with respect, despite the fact that your post was borderline insulting. I have no desire to get into a pissing match so if you insist on that, you and I are done here.
