Were you the one that tweeted that to sports center?
No, but twitter blew up after that play and this gif was passed around amongst a lot of national writers.

And while I think he will be a stud player, he's still a true freshman backup RB. He's also the kid that laid out the Memphis player on a kick return to win the game.

As for the mid major comment, GFY. We'd manhandle TT if they were fortunate to make it to the Sugar Bowl.

UCF talking hard smack. That's cute.

My comments was about mid-major teams, not specifically UCF. But if you are all sensitive about it fine...another side effect little man's.

UCF is actually a good team this year. I like watching them play. If they played in a major conference it would result in a season about like all of the big tough guys who move up.

Still though, you'll get the occasional mid-major team that will be good but jumping into the big leagues would show different results. See recent teams that did nothing but talk trash until reality hit them in the face, like TCU. Hence my comments about what a stud looks like playing in a mid-major conference. Its the truff.

UCF is different from those past teams cause we have staying power. Good defense, pro style offense and fertile recruiting grounds make it an easier situation. Boise St. had a great run but they never had any of those. Once they got to average QBs, their offense fell off. Same with TCU.

I'm glad Rutgers will be the one going into the Big 10 showing their ass instead of Maryland for once.

And maybe you should tap the brakes a bit on this one Deuce, UCF is obviously real nice this year but they are nowhere near what Boise St. and TCU were at various points over the last 6-8 or so years. Those programs have 6-8 11+ win years in the last decade, along with undefeated seasons, O'Leary has one 11+ win season in almost a decade at UCF along with several seasons with only 4-6 wins.

Now, it's very possible that this season could be the beginning of a run like that but let's be realistic and not put them on Boise St. or TCU's level yet.

TCU has always been known for defense. That was their strong point.

Maybe and once Bortles is gone after this season (or hopefully next year) the whole thing could blow up if the next QB isn't ready. That's been Boise's downfall. But I still like our chances. For the program to come as far as it has in the last 10 years despite not being held back by the other state programs is impressive.

Opinion on Bortles? Gil Brandt loves him.

Opinion on Bortles? Gil Brandt loves him.
Trying to keep my homer side to a minimum, I've always compared him to Tony Romo without the retard gene. He consistently makes plays with his feet in the pocket to escape pressure while keeping his eyes down field to hit big plays. He can/scramble too, but it's a last resort unless it's a designed play. IMO his arm is strong enough to make all the throws. His total QBR this year has been top 10 and he has a knack for leading his team back to win. ie: Louisville game.

Now, as much as I love him, I've always tried to be realistic when thinking about his draft stock. Rece Davis said during the game last night that McShay loves him and talks potential first round. I was shocked by that simply because of the talented QBs who will also be out.

BTW, here's the McShay write up on him from earlier in the week.

UCF QB Blake Bortles* (6-4, 230)

Bortles was not heavily recruited out of high school. In fact, Central Florida was one of the few schools to recruit him as a quarterback as many other wanted him to play tight end. After sitting down to watch four coaches copy tapes of him (Penn State, Louisville, South Carolina and Houston) and I came away very impressed.

Bortles has a sturdy build and strong stature for the position. The ball doesn't always come clean off his hand but he has the arm strength to make all the NFL throws. Bortles still makes some questionable decisions but has strong field presence and a good understanding for situational football.

He sets and understands where he is protected. He also displays above-average pocket presence and does a nice job of feeling pressure. Bortles has above-average mobility to maneuver around the pocket and work through progressions, and flashes the athleticism to extend plays and pick up yards with his feet when need be.

Most impressive, the junior quarterback shows a clutch gene which he displayed on the road against Louisville. Bortles showed great poise orchestrating a come-from-behind, 75-yard, fourth-quarter game-winning drive while out dueling Teddy Bridgewater

Bortles is coming off another fourth quarter comeback against Temple this past weekend. He has the Knights at 8-1 and in control of the American conference, which would earn an automatic BCS birth. Bortles is beginning to create a buzz among scouts. If he declares, don't be surprised if he ends up in the first-round conversation as the draft process unfolds.

I think Baylor goes down tonight. It's a perfect storm for an upset.

Hostile road crowd.

Okie State has a very good defense.

And it will be a cold weather game. Temperature should be below freezing.

I've thought that for awhile now. This game is scary for Baylor and a lot of major streaks against them. Haven't won in Stillwater in forever and Baylor on the road versus ranked opponents is not very good.

With that being said the times that both 1big and I have agreed on games this year the outcome has been different than what we agreed on. Therefore Baylor will win.

I'm pulling for Baylor for one reason: if Baylor wins, they leapfrog Ohio State, which keeps those asswipes away from the National Title Game.

I'm rooting for all undefeated teams the rest of the year. Baylor finishing outside the NC race may force the Big 12 to consider expansion again to get back the Championship game.

That may not matter next season because it'll be the first year of the playoff system.

I can't believe Florida lost to Georgia Southern. And I thought Michigan losing to App State was horrible.
