Smith actually made a few decent plays this year, kind of what you'd expect out of an average backup LB, so that was a big improvement on last year.

But I'd imagine that a bunch of those random chunk plays the Eagles had out of nowhere (the little dump offs to the TEs that would travel 3 yards in the air and bust for 20 downfield) were on him.

I'll have to go back and watch to be sure but I'd guess that's why he went from playing like 80% of the Eagles snaps to basically being benched in the second half against Carolina, and then cut.

Most of them dont last the season. The only reason you even know about this deal is because Dallas pimped Jaylon to be the face of the team after the one decent year he had. If it was some guy name Brad Kaslowski, I wouldn't be privileged to your horrible takes.
