Peter King saying on his Ticket show that Jason Garrett went on and on to him that draft weekend that Jaylon Smith was the guy they needed to build around on defense for his great leadership qualities, ethos, and never say die attitude. So King thinks we're going to miss his leadership if nothing else... Lol.

Another swing and miss for The Clapper.

so how does a jag, an injured and horrible player get picked up by a SB contender within 12hrs of his release according to most fans hes trash..???

well i guess their owner, gm, coaches etc are all blind and terrible even signing this so called trash..i thought he was a clown and his swiping would not be condoned, yet a team like GB would even consider JS for any price??

seriously i mean the guys as bad as using blocking dummy in his spot huh??

crazy they must not have any film on him because according to most around here the guy cant play lick..

he may not be pb guy but im betting he can still play...

It's funny to read the national narrative on Jaylon and from other people around me who don't watch all the Cowboys games.

They actually think he's good. "Why did they release him?", "I thought he was good", "Packers shore up their defense", etc.

I don't know how he played so well in 2018 or if it was because the bar was so low coming off the injury, but he was bad the last 2+ seasons since signing the big contract. His snap count is way down this year and was only going to lessen.
Yep.

It's amazing how little common sense people have.

You don't even have to watch a second of our games. Just follow the logic.

We signed Neal to play LB.

We drafted a LB in the first round. We drafted another LB in the 4th.

We reduced Jaylon's playing time, then cut him after 4 games.

If he was playing anywhere near good enough, all these things wouldn't have been happening.

It's not rocket science.

The fact that Dallas has to pay all of Smith's salary has something to do with that deal, and the fact that it is coincidentally only 1 year.

Congrats to them, they got a player Dallas was unable to trade.

I would only be happier if it was the Eagles, Steelers, or 49ers.

And I am loving it. He can only distract their defensive coaches and impede the progress of their younger players.

He is a waste of space on the field.

Case in point, fans will look directly at videos like Breakemdown's tweet and fucking ignore Smith's utter failure and direct culpability.

Watch that play-- like a million others-- he takes himself out of the play cutting to the defensive left for no good reason and the RB tears right by him uncontested.

They'll say shit like "everybody messes up" or "we don't know the specific assignments on that play". And then they'll immediately turn around and talk about how great this guy is-- it's fucking hilarious. I mean, I challenge you to find one great play this guy ever made!

I can't wait to see the first ESPN highlight of Jaylon Smith making a simple tackle too far downfield for the Packers with an inane voiceover "... and Jaylon Smith, already paying dividends for the Packers".

When in reality he ends up making NO IMPACT for the Packers, "fans" will claim "well, he had no training camp with them" or "he had no time to crack the starting lineup".

Fucking. Comical.

Because Green Bay has stupid fans just like Dallas has you. It's a cheap way for ownership to look like they're doing something to improve the team. Oh sure he can "play" in a limited basis. He can be a rah rah guy, and he knows LaFleur, but the only plays he will make are plays that accidentally come right to him 15 yards down the field, because he sure as hell can't READ THE PLAY DEVELOPMENT AT ALL. He'll jump on his teammates after the play is over. So that's awesome.

He's slow and has no burst or change of direction and gets blown off the ball like a pinata. Go watch any video of him this year. Please just go do it, I implore you. He isn't near the ball and he runs behind the ballcarrier like he just shit his pants. The dude is done. It's over. It's a Christmas miracle he signed with GB. I hope he plays every down for them.

The reason LVE is emotional about Jaylon is because when he was on the field with Jaylon, it reminded him of playing 8 man football back in high school. Pure nostalgia.
