That new Netflix movie 'Army of the Dead' was pretty solid, IMO. As long as you go in with reasonable expectations. I thought it was good for what it was.....a 2 1/2 hour zombie action flick that'll keep you entertained but isn't too deep.

They hit on a movie genre that I don't think existed before. It's a zombie-heist movie.

It's a bit cliched in that you can easily forecast things in the plot that will happen later in the movie.

Overall I give it a 2.5 out of 5 stars.

1. One of the things I assumed would happen but didn't was zombies being reanimated by rain. Early in the film one of the female guides mentions that rain will bring zombies back to life for a few hours yet there was no scene with this happening. I'm guessing this may have been something that didn't make the final cut.

2. Zack Snyder already has played for a sequel. I'm throwing this out there early. Based on the final scene on the private jet, Omari Hardwick's character will be the "Alpha" zombie in the sequel.
I thought it was pretty good but when the zombies are World War Z-esque, it stresses me out because those type of zombies are too damn fast and tough to overcome.

I liked the concept of the story and the CGI was very good (agree on your spoiler points as well)

watch the 20 minute show Creating an Army of the Dead don Netflix too it gives good insight into how everything was made, the technology we have now is amazing

Thanks, I'll check that out. I noticed it right before I logged off Netflix.

Just watched Nobody, the Bob Odenkirk version of John Wick, and it did not disappoint.
I just finished this.

I hadn't done a lot of research on it, but from what I remember, it seemed to be marketed more like a vigilante thing at some point but you watch it for two minutes and you are like it is Old Man John Wick.

It was just okay. I liked the appearances by Christopher Lloyd and Michael Ironside.

Michelle Rodriguez.

Booze has been hating on her for a good 15 years.
OIC, I bet he equally hates that kinda manly looking chick from that weight loss show then too

Anyone check out the new Black Widow Marvel movie? I plan on waiting until it comes to Disney+ in October to watch it, but if it's worth watching in the theater, I might break down and go see it next weekend.

Not a compelling character. I mean, we already saw Red Sparrow.

Great actress though. Beautiful and smart, her talents are underutilized.

Watched Talladega Nights again today. That movie holds up the test of time.
