Wow, pretty shocking 10 yard split there, seems important.
Encouraging for sure. I had him ranked up with Sewell, Parsons, and Pitts before his relatively unimpressive pro day.Wow, pretty shocking 10 yard split there, seems important.
I went back and watched the whole game based on this and he was excellent except for one play where he got roasted for about a 40 yard TD by Grimes. He had perfect coverage but seemingly lost track of the ball or lost it in the lights. He wasn’t so hot against Pitts and Toney.

Considering I didn't see anything like that in the other games I watched (Georgia, Notre Dame, Ohio St.) I don't think it's a huge concern, although obviously you don't like to see it at all.
As far as Pitts and Toney, he only gave up 1 catch for 10 yards to Pitts on a quick slant, which was the only other catch he gave up aside from the TD. He was targeted 3 times against Pitts, only giving up the 1 catch with a PD on one of the two incompletions.
That's silly to say about one corner on defense and then point to an Olineman. One great player at any position can be neutralized. Especially an Olineman who needs the other 4 guys playing great with him. Just like a corner. And Parsons wouldn't have stopped Trask and those weapons either.Props.
Net impact: Kyle Trask was 26/40 for 408 yards, 3 TDs, the Gators scored 46, and three Gator receivers averaged over 18 yards per catch.
CBs can be taken out of the game more easily than other defensive positions.
For this and other reasons I think this is a luxury, cherry on top pick vs a kid like Micah Parsons who can impact every play.
I believe in strong CB play, but I don’t think you need to get it from the first round unless the guy is a catalyzing kind of difference-maker.
I see that in Parsons or Sewell.
Yet, you advocate taking Pitts with what we already have on offense, to go along with an all-timer bad defense. For this and other reasons I think this is a luxury, cherry on top pick
I generally agree, which is why I'm not overly enthused with Surtain at 10, but I can recognize that he is a legitimate top 10-15 prospect who is one of the better options available in a less than ideal scenario.Props.

I’m saying you draft foundational players or special talents in the top ten.Yet, you advocate taking Pitts with what we already have on offense, to go along with an all-timer bad defense.
No, he's not. And you have ZERO to go on with what he'll be in five years. He hasn't stepped foot on an NFL field yet. He could bust just as easily as countless players before him that have been tagged with the "special" designation. The guy has talent and has promise. He's not Jesus in cleats.Pitts is special right now. He’ll still be five years from now when the only ones left from today’s offense will be Dak and Lamb.
All this shit from Ravi now actually has me hoping Pitts is a bust. I was lukewarm on taking him before this push for him but now if we take him I'm going to hype on every fucking mistake he makes more than Booze did on shrimp BeasleyNo, he's not. Let's not induct him into the HOF quite yet.
