Kind of how I feel. I don't even know how much I view him as a TE. I think he is more of a big WR. You're not putting Pitts on the field because he blocks. You're not lining him up next to the tackle to run behind him.Eh. Every year we hear of the next TE that is going to revolutionize the position.
Still waiting.
~yawn~
I would take that guy if he was clearly better than those also available.I hesitate to say anybody will be a HOF'er but I think he's the surest bet to be a HOF'er in this class and that includes Lawrence. Sewell and Lawrence are the only guys I'd even consider including in the argument.
Yet, the elite TEs, like Kelce (3rd round) and Kittle (5th round) are found much later. If we take Pitts I'm going to lose my shit. You are all warned.Eh. Every year we hear of the next TE that is going to revolutionize the position.

And the best TE of all time went 13th overall.Yet, the elite TEs, like Kelce (3rd round) and Kittle (5th round) are found much later. If we take Pitts I'm going to lose my shit. You are all warned.
I'd like to see (cause I am not going to the effort of looking it up) of how many TEs drafted in the first versus other rounds turn out to be elite. And the best TE of all time went 13th overall.
You can cherry pick what the current flavor is but there's no correlation between TE's being busts at a higher rate or being more likely to hit the later you take them, just like any position there are plenty of elite guys who go in the first and plenty who go later.
There are probably more outside of the 1st, at least in recent history, but that can probably be said for half the positions in the game. Doesn't mean you refuse to take a special LB or whatever in the top 10.I'd like to see (cause I am not going to the effort of looking it up) of how many TEs drafted in the first versus other rounds turn out to be elite.
You're going to have to show your work better than that. Hockenson is your best example? There are probably more outside of the 1st, at least in recent history, but that can probably be said for half the positions in the game. Doesn't mean you refuse to take a special LB or whatever in the top 10.
Yea, there are plenty of busts but the GOAT was a 1st, the best young TE currently (Hockenson) went top 10, and even a "bust" like Vernon Davis made a few Pro Bowls and is top 10 all time for TE's in several categories.
Gronk went in the second round...Yea, there are plenty of busts but the GOAT was a 1st
*6thI guess QB’s should only be drafted in the 5th round since the GOAT was drafted in the 5th...

At least make your shitposting factual
Surtain over Waddle, for me at least.
Agreed. Waddle would be a huge luxury pick. I would actually flip tables if that's our pick.Surtain over Waddle, for me at least.
Yep.Agreed. Waddle would be a huge luxury pick. I would actually flip tables if that's our pick.
Depends on what it would cost us to move. If it’s just the comp 3rd I do that in a heartbeat.Yep.
Random question; since Dallas has multiple third round picks would you entertain the idea of taking Surtain at 10 and trading back into the first to snag Moehrig? I'm a front seven first guy, but I'd be aggressive to get a great FS like him. Curious to know your thought.
