Moore had to pare his playbook down a considerable amount this season due the the number of inluries on the offense. The irony is the team has grade A receivers but there was little development and production there because the QB position was also in a slow development stage. The rushing strategy was plain vanilla due to Elliot’s inconsistencies. The offense couldn’t keep up with the opponents simply because the defense was inconsistent and couldn’t even slow down their attacks. There wasn’t much variety on offense because the make up wasn’t good enough to execute consistently.

Translation: "No. I've put enough film out there this season to land a starting job next year with a team who'll be in transition at the QB position."
Or... “The Bears need some help, and off the bat I would probably be the best QB they ever had.”

Good for Dalton either way. I don't think he came here hoping to hold the clipboard for Dak for the rest of his career. But if no one else wants to offer him a starting job I'd welcome him back as Daks backup on a cheap deal.

If he gets an offer then good for him but I really don’t see that he did screams he should be a starter based on his overall performance this past season.

i'd love to keep him here as Daks backup for a reasonable contract.

Yeah. He is a good choice for a back up and I think he will get better with the continued exposure to the current system but it appears from his comments that he wants a # 1 spot somewhere.

depending on the choices. Hopefully, he has made enough money to be somewhat choosy about where he goes.

Dallas is no hell hole
For the last 25 years it has been. The worst kind, too. One that teases you and builds you up in the media.

Im sure he had the same thought coming here that most of us did when he signed, a chance to come home, recharge for a year, and if he has to play, its with a team stacked with offensive talent that should be contending.

It didnt work out that way, but I wonder who will really vie for his services as a number one. This is probably the only time I can recall league wide where it seems like there are at least competent QB’s almost everywhere. I mean, taking into consideration the draft, who is going to be looking for a guy like Dalton?

As funny as it sounds after almost 20 years, the Patriots seem like they will need one at that point more than anyone else. The Bears are in that discussion as well.

Jets maybe if they end up having to take Fields at 2 and don't want to throw him to the wolves his first year?

I don't think anyone will.

It is not like he pulled a Bridgewater like he did last year in NO.

Its just poor timing for him. Ten years ago, he would have walked into a job no problem. Now, if we had been humming along and he stepped in for Dak and did well, itd be a different story. But, he chose the wrong team.

Sucker.

Patriots would have been a good fit. Their weapons are awful on offense though.

Dalton will get a contract from another team if he decides to leave. Every year teams take flyers on QBs to be their starter. Players worse than he is. It's gonna happen. GuaranF'nteed.
