I think maybe Diggs isn't the only young player we are overrating. I trust PFF more than I trust my own rating which is not based on game tape. He's probably getting blown off the ball 85% of the time and we only noticed him the 15% he gets penetration. More to the point, do you trust Marinelli or Nolan?

I have more faith in this offense being able to come back in a game than ever before. But the defense has to show something. They need to at least be able to do something well. But they can't. They can't stop the short stuff, can't stop the long stuff, can't stop the run, can't rush the passer. Just nothing to even build off of.

Again was there anything about the defense that gives you hope they are on the right path? If anything it seems to be getting worse. But I guess my hope for real change is useless. They made their minds up.

It took them 10 years to get rid of Garrett. Assistant coaches will probably get 3 and McCarthy at least 6.

That is why all of these comments make me angry.

But you do that when it makes sense. This makes zero sense and basically absolves accountability.

When your defense is literally being torn apart every single Sunday, I don't get the need.

I'm so tired of railing on how useless Crawford is. He has hit an all time low and it doesn't matter. The guy just somehow is above judgment. Now matter how sick and pissed I am by the play the Cowboys will continue to play him until someone gets hurt.

Just pisses me off there is no plan to get better. It's just like they think playing more is all they need. I don't buy it when you keep trotting out useless players like Crawford.

I agree. The offense has mounted huge comebacks and the defense has repeatedly squandered them. Two weeks ago, Dak led the team to a comeback lead with 4 minutes to play. Not only did the defense give up a touchdown, but the two point conversion as well.

Then this week, Dak leads them back from an insurmountable deficit to within three points of tying it. And what does the defense do to that momentum? They kill it. Once again.

Whil researching McCarthy when it was announced that he was hired, I did some research. Despite his success in Green Bay, his defenses were often not good. He struck gold by getting Dom Capers, and the year his defense was very good was the year they won it all. Combining that with Nolan's own stats the last time he was a D.C. with Atlanta, and I don't have a lot of hope that they're turning anything around, at least not this year.
